2022 out of depth ownership gives Pelinka a 4 year contract extension

  2. TradeWestbrick

Forgot letting go of a stretch 5 who was willing to sign for cheap in Brook Lopez

Promising Drummond a starting spot which tanked the 2021 team even before the injuries

Offering Schroder an 80 million dollar contract which he luckily turned down

Choosing to pay THT over a proven championship caliber all-defense guard in Alex Caruso

Wasting our MLE on bench scorers who can’t do much else every season

Refusing to get us a playable 5 forcing LeBron and Carmelo to play center 48 minutes a night

Putting together the worst shooting team of the modern era this year

Refusing to give DeRozan a third year

Refusing to give Ty Lue a long term contract

  3. esteban24697

I completely forgot Gasol played for the Lakers.

  4. Snoo41255

Bro, I wouldn’t even do any of these trades in NBA2k22 why the fuck is Rob Lowe doing it in real life?

  5. richthekid

Fumbled Ty Lue as head coach not offering a 5 year deal

  6. TorontoRaptors34

Jeanie Buss has no dignity no respect no smarts bro she hired this twat

  7. SavageBodyCivilMind

We gotta fire this man. How dare he trade Svi Mykhailiuk smh

  8. UncleNvte

How many times are we gonna post this on this subreddit?

  9. robreeeezy

I know this is about Robā€™s resume but the worst transaction next to the Russ trade has gotta be trading Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. For Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye. Fucking hell. Our front office is a mess.

  10. I totally forgot about Randle

This guy has to be the worst GM of the decade

  11. CultExterminator

It pays well to be Jeanie’s lap dog.

  12. valleykid818MD

Rob has literally attached a pick in almost all transactions šŸ¤Æ

I am frustrated with Rob too, but some of this stuff is unfair. Lakers won the 2020 title, and were the favorites to repeat in 2021. Number #1 in the West last February. Up 2-1 on Phoenix.

The Westbrook deal is one of the worst trades in recent NBA history, but a lot of Robā€™s tenure should be considered successful.

He also has a knack for finding decent chips like TBJ, Lonnie, Reaves and Monk. But, again, Westbrook is just so devastating to the organization, itā€™s almost impossible to overcome.

I see we’ve now gone into full revisionism where we pretend it wasn’t Magic that did the Zubac for Muscala straight-up deal.

  15. tendy-hands

What about the part where he was going to trade for buddy Hield. Who supposedly is a player lakers fans really want. I forget what happened though not sure why he isnā€™t on the team. Oh yeah heā€™s not Klutch

  16. He built an actual good team, dismantled it the next season, and has been trying to build a slightly worse version of that team again ever since, when he could have just kept the damn team together. now we have no cap space or tradable players.

  17. frobebryant92

Half that resume was done by Magic (2018 – 2019)

  18. kodominator

Sickening. Besides winning the chip in ā€˜20, everything about his track record is just a bunch of šŸ¤®

  19. intellectslang

Seeing Zubac punk AD on some plays tonight was really gutting

  20. Iā€™m so glad this sub is coming around to the idea that Rob sucks.

Prior to recently every bad move heā€™s made was blamed on someone else

  21. ashjose72

Conclusion: Get him the fuck upon out LA. Even if we were to rebuild, it would go terribly with him. Has to be one of the worst GMs in the league rn (if not the worst). And we rewarded his years of ineptitude with a 4 year extension? Tf?

  22. TheAlbinoRaccoon

Just remember Jeanie Buss saw this and said “Yeah we need more of that” and gave Pelinka a 4 year extension.

  23. mexicanmike

This doesnā€™t even encompass all the shitty moves. So much left on the table, so much rotation quality talent either traded or let walked for nothing.
