TRADE For Anthony Davis? Bill Simmons Says AD Available + LeBron Trade In 2023? Sixers Trade Rumors

Anthony Davis trade rumors have circulated after Bill Simmons on his podcast said that the Lakers could be open to trading Anthony Davis if they can’t find a deal to trade Russell Westbrook. Could the Philadelphia 76ers make a splash and acquire Davis to put him next to Joel Embiid and James Harden to make the Sixers compete for the 2023 NBA title? If the Lakers trade Anthony Davis, could a LeBron James trade be on the cards in the 2023 NBA offseason? James can’t be traded during the 2022-23 NBA season due to stipulations in his contract, but if the Lakers are rebuilding, LeBron might want to move to a contender. Bill Simmons on Anthony Davis trade rumors via the Ringer:
“There’s some buzz, some buzzing that AD might be available. That’s a plan B. Because the Westbrook trade—or whatever they think they can get for Westbrook and whether you’d want to give up future assets—maybe that doesn’t even make sense because what are you getting if you’re the Lakers? You’ve got Davis here, who I don’t think has looked the same for a couple years—certainly not close to Bubble Davis. That’s the last time we saw vintage, 2018 Pelicans-level Davis. … I don’t know what the endgame is with this Lakers team, but I know the Pelicans have their pick. And I don’t think, whatever they have, I don’t think it’s really fixable in a way to make them a playoff team.”

Reasons the Los Angeles Lakers would trade Anthony Davis:
Lakers aren’t contending
Can acquire future assets
AD’s health & longevity concerns
Could free up salary cap space

  1. Answer is yes for all teams in the league but I'd settle for the addition Cavaliers Now by Chat Sports. Spider is looking like he could seriously win MVP.

  2. No, I'm not trading for Davis for two major reasons. One the Lakers can't wait to trade/ rid themselves of Davis because they feel he's undependable and constantly injured. We already have two injury prone stars like that now, why add a third? Secondly the Sixers need all the assets they can gather and the future draft picks they do have will either become trade chips, or if Morey uses them as actual picks, young players to help reset your team. The next two years are critical and if they fail to get a chip within that period, they'll need those future draft choices.

  3. Make it a 3 way trade with the pacers and use those picks to get Myles Turner and buddy hield for Wrestbrook and 2 of those pics from Philly !

  4. Anthony Davis costing too much value and a injury concern since he couldn't pair up with Tyrese Maxey and future assets draft picks to keep building around the 76ers talent and developing of a different young team and a better chemistry!??

  5. Ngl I think he’s satisfied with his one chip , if he was still hungry hell yeah but I don’t think he cares anymore….P

  6. Don't want AD or Lebron, maybe 10yrs ago yes but hes dam near 40 yrs old!

  7. Don't trust 76er spin on players – Tucker (PER 8), House (PER 6), and Harrell (PER 13) are Busts

  8. I say if he could stay on court then by all means say YES but I don't see that happening like u said he is getting older

  9. We don't have enough to provide what the Lakers are looking for. Unless it for Emiid LAL would probably laugh in our face
