  1. I actually appreciate the play by play. I was following it online so didn't know about the 2 straight wide open Jalen Smith misses. I watched about 5 minutes of the 4th quarter and the momentum was completely changed. I knew that when Jokic went out for his 5th foul the Pacers were going to let their guards down and think they had it in the bag even if it was subconsciously. I swear I knew that would happen. Carlisle has been great this year but I have zero clue why he waited till like the 5 minute mark to put Mathurin in the 3rd quarter. He was on the bench the entire time after halftime. He plays 37 minutes against Miami and 30 against New Orleans that was a double digit lead the entire game, but only plays 25 tonight after having a damn near record setting quarter. Literally the only reason Pacers were up at halftime was because of Mathurin. No player can sustain that shooting pace but the starters were down by 12 in the 1st quarter and Mathurin completely changed the momentum. I love Tyrese I think he's the best point guard in the league but Mathurin is the only player on the team that gets to the line. I would have let that kid bring this W home after Denver got within 5 and Carlisle Callled a timeout. Give that kid the ball and let him get to the line or make a play. I hope there isn't any petty jealousy going on because Mathurin didn't touch the ball the last couple possesion and I have zero clue why Hali forced the pass to Turner for the tie and just didn't take the shot himself or pass it to Mathurin. Turner was kind of guarded and it was forced. Just inexplicable why Mathurin only played 25 minutes when he's that hot and when he played 37 against Miami two games earlier. He sat him too long to start that 3rd quarter. I'm telling you jokic sitting down with 5 fouls was a curse. We let up subconsciously. I swear I knew it was going to happen

  2. I admit I'm slightly biased but I'm definitely honest too, I would 100 percent take Mathurin over Banchero. No hesitation in my mind. His ceiling is higher too

But goodness I keep hearing people talk about Mathurins performance against New Orleans. Like who cares? Great game to have an off game when Pacers had a double digit lead the entire game against New Orleans. And yes absolutely have zero clue why Mathurin only played 25 minutes unless Carlisle didn't want to give him a big head. I have zero clue why Carlisle only played him 25 minutes

  3. Top game MPJ, his dribbling, his style, his defense. When there was no MVP on the court, he was the most valuable player. Jokić scored all points with the assistance of MPJ. Denver celebrated thanks to MPJ dominating the last decisive minutes – see for yourself

  4. I told u in these comments before the lotto order came out we want Math. He was the best player in college last year but also it was NBA transferable. Also I said late last year I thought Jackson was the better of the 2 rookies last year. He's very much like a young D. Jordan. Duarte may eclipse him but I'm still picking Jax at this point.

  5. Also Carlisle has got to play Math more. Inexcusable he got 25 mins on a night where he was smoking. 🚬 Terrible tech & he needed a timeout after Jokic missed. Tough loss & Carlisle def helped us lose

  6. I watched this game and my thought was the referees shut down Mathurin. He wasn't getting contact calls on drives he normally gets when there's contact which lead to turnovers. Badly officiated game. The players did good,vi blame the inconsistent officiating.
