When he says things like "We were trying to do it by ourselves too much" he's definitely talking about Randle.

The Nets just had an all-night block party when it comes to whooping the Knicks' behind. I don't know how the Knicks practice for this game, feeling confident, feeling pumped up, and yet they still get embarrassed by the Nets. Neither Reddish, Rose, or Toppin scored at all. Either they scored little or nothing at all. And Fournier did score, but looked lost and disoriented out there.
They played like they were afraid of the Nets. Too much individual dribbling, foolish hasty shots and leaving opponents open for 3. Bring on Mark Jackson

The Knicks were intimidated by KD, plain and simple. They have no real leader who refuses to lose. There are leaders with the emotion to lead, and there are followers looking for mom when they see the big bad wolf. The Knicks showed fear once again the second time this season. They will quickly fissile out in the play-off if they even make it there. 😢

I told you folks last year. I wouldn't resign RJ or Robinson. They are fundamentally flawed players. RJ isn't athletic, can't shoot or defend. Robinson is injury prone and can't shoot at all. This team is very average at best. I would've not signed Brunson and just started Quickley. I would've traded away RJ and Randle. I would've started Obi. In my opinion Quickley may not be the scorer Brunson is but he has better potential to be a better all around player than Brunson. He is fast, can shoot, solid passer and better defender. I would've been more aggressive in the draft. Knicks are know stuck in mediocrity for a while. It doesn't matter who coaches. Don't put all the blame on Thibs but also the front office. Knicks will not go no where until they improve their ability to build a roster. If they don't like Thibs get a good young smart coach.
I will break down some basic science for my fellow Knicks fans and for the Knicks front office and coaching staff (Like they would ever see this). The players and coaches constantly brag about the level of work (practice) players put in everyday. First one in the gym. Last one out. Perhaps that is the problem? When you exercise a muscle group, you break down those muscles. What you're supposed to do next is rest that group and provide nutrients to rebuild it. If you constantly exercise that same muscle group without rest and rebuild, you are actually weakening that muscle group. The question is: What are they doing between games to rebuild and reenergize?
Every time I think this team is gelling here comes Randle to dribble the air out the ball. Just trade the man already.

That was ugly. Explain to me the obsession with RJ. The refusal to pull him when he's no longer helping but hurting. I'm very curious. Everyone on the team was off last night. It was ugly. But there were big red flags being waved in front of you that if there was an adjustment, maybe things might not have gotten so out of control.
Nets are not better than Cs right now. They're not better than the Cavs. While the Knicks lost those match ups it was nothing last night. Last night's game was a complete aberration and the Knicks should have taken that game easily.
