The Brooklyn Nets and official head coach Jacque Vaughn looked to bounce back from a close loss against Dallas, tonight hosting the New York Knicks.

  1. This team been baling without Nash & Kyrie. Listen Nash is not a good HC and as for Kyrie we don't have to deal with that drama he brings. Idk how much credit Jacque Vaughn deserves but one thing is for sure this team is fighting for him especially on defense.

  2. Just a reminder Ben Simmons hasn't yet loss to the knicks in his career LOL. Bro is KNICKS kryptonite. Great dub, we took care of business tonight & Congrats to JV for getting the head coaching job, happy for him & his family. On to the next one. Go Nets 🖤

  3. Woah!!! After a huge day in which Jacque Vaughn became Brooklyn head coach, the nets who have created a team atmosphere had a big test against the Knicks.

And damn did Brooklyn dominate for four whole quarters !!

Kevin Durant led the game as a floor general again and got a triple double and had his fingerprints throughout the game and scored anyway he wanted.

Seth curry returned to form getting a jump shot and then went on a three point barrage.

Edmond Sumner meanwhile brought that spicy Sumner sauce 🔥🔥🔥🔥 He had his breakout game just bringing great energy and getting anything he wanted.

Ben Simmons had some good moments defensively and seems to perform better off the bench.

All around this was a massive team win and a big road trip now comes upon Brooklyn. Let's go! 🔥 😎

  4. 1. It’s been more than “one game”
    2. Ben should never start at any point of this season
    3. KD should look to average triple doubles not ball hog but complete game mentality
    4. Trade Kyrie for role players like jrue holiday or Chris Middleton type
    5. Or trade Kyrie for the pacers package

  5. So happy we won! Kevin Durant was cooking tonight as he always does against the Knicks. Hope we keep the momentum on road. We're playing very good rn. Also can't wait to TJ. Hopefully soon…🤞

  6. Love how the team is functioning at the moment but still early days…just look at jazz and blazers who are atop the west..lol. Also will come down to our own expectations of the team…if we're happy to just have a fun but middle of the road team, then great. If we still have hopes of challenging…then litmus will come when we play the top end teams again which should also provide more clarity on whether JV was the right decision and how much kyrie will be missed/not missed..

  7. Curry and Simmons had a really good flow together from passing to screens etc as a bench unit.

Lots of teams atm are placing some of their best players to come off the bench for different reasons to manage lineups. Simmons will get there but atm this seems a better model long as he gets the minutes he needs to build back up.

Simmons honestly statline wise this game was better than Royce and Claxton but very similar (not a comparison you'd want given the contract). He is at least starting to play at the level those two are now which is progress for sure as the take from that of where he is at.

  8. Simmons did better this game but is still a shadow of his former self and clearly has a big confidence issue at the moment (and is probably still wrestling mental demons). Given his obvious lack of confidence I doubt there would be an ego thing with him insisting to start. He may prefer to come off the bench and have less pressure on him until he can get his groove and his confidence back. And hopefully Simmons, KD and the coach all understand (like the Westbrook situation) that it makes sense to change the dynamics to whatever works to make the team better and then adjust over time accordingly

  9. I understand we had a good game today but we shouldn't get gas over it. There's no way we can tell if this team is better without Kryrie? it's way too early,, it's only been one game,, When KD and Kryrie is on the court it not like the other guys don't get shot? they just don't make their shots.. Kyrie has nothing to do with that. These guys look good now because Kyrie is not there and they feel that they have to step their game up..That's Basketball 101.. That's all this is. When Kyrie comes back and these guys continue to make there shots like they doing we will be hitting 130 and 140 like we used to. Remember we only had 112 points tonight if we played a better team we would have lost. Because most teams are averaging 125 and better.

  10. I like the fact that you guys mainly talk basketball instead Kryrie dilemma and left it until the end..👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽✌🏽

  11. Jacque Vaughn said, in the press conference, that he know he wasn't the first choice to replace Nash but he wasn't his wife's first choice but they've been married for over 20 years. I have admiration for that kind of self deprecation. It's unfortunate how he was overlooked by Marks. I think it was more Joe Tsai's decision to make him head coach. I don't think Marks will be making anymore major decisions. The sooner he's fired, the better.

  12. So tired of national media and my media who are clearly closet Knicks fans always trolling and criticizing Nets Fans. Instead talking about how the Knicks are 25 year dumpster fire they will change the narrative and start talking about who was cheering and who was or wasn’t there. Same stuff. Go away Jeff.

  13. The defense was incredible and they gotta keep it up. The question I have is when will Harris get his shot back consistently and will Kyrie sacrifice his game and actually play team ball if he comes back. Kyrie was a detriment to the team’s offense and Nash couldn’t coach. If he doesn’t play team ball, Vaughn has to bench him

  14. I love the way Brooklyn is playing right now but i still think they need to just put Ben Simmons back at the point since he is coming of the bench right now amp him up to be the starter. He is a Allstar point guard

  15. The Nets were second to last in allowing the most points in the nba, now there allowing the 10th fewest points. Held the last 4 opponents under 100 points

  16. I'll say this. Though I am not sure about Vaughn, I do like what he is doing with the size component of the wing positions. Instead of these lineups of all 6'3 players he's playing guys that have the size. Also, Its clear Nash wasn't playing guys that have potential. Being stuck in your ways can get you Fired which is exactly what happened. Also, the defense was excellent. Those guys were really engaged and the length of the wings seems to have given them belief that they have the size and athleticism to guard the opposition. Also, I am very surprised and must give Vaughn credit for having the guts and foresight to bring Simmons of the bench which I am certain he will be much more effective not having the pressure of being a starter and also running with all those shooters. Not having Simmons and Claxton on the court at the same time is key with their FT woes and lack of offense. I would really love to see if he can make it work with Kyrie when he comes back. They need to put the media madness aside and set clear expectations for Kyrie to just play your role, dominate and let us be your voice. This can be an incredible 180 and I think it can work because this team has too much talent not to be a contender. Great Stream as always!
