I think everyone knows Lakers are only one piece away from being great lol… But on a serious note, the Lakers front office are extremely dumb they need multiple pieces in any deal at least 2 or 3 positive contributers. If the Lakers were to do a deal with the Wizards they'd be better off trading Russ for Porzingis and Monte Morris instead of Beal. That trade would solve alot of concerns spacing issues, AD finally doesn't have to play the 5, and since Porzingis and Morris can both shoot it helps there shooting issues as well. They'd just need to trade Nunn and maybe Beverley for better fitting pieces at the deadline.

Shai is my favorite (non-laker) player in the NBA and I would be over the MOON if we were able to trade for him. He's young, he's talented, he's an all around star, and is definitely someone we can build around once Lebron retires or leaves

Give me Kyrie over any of the mystery targets any day of the week. Kyrieβs offensive skillset and shot creation fits the Lakers more than anyone else so that Bron dont have to be gassed. It allows Bron to take a break from having to do too much offensively
If Beal would release his no trade and would be willing to only go to the Lakers all it really does is replace russ with Beal and have the same issues which is lack of depth especially with ad and LeBron being injury prone. Not to mention Beal isn't exactly a healthy dude himself. The Lakers need to get away from the model of 3 stars since the only way it works is if all 3 superstars are young and heslthy and LeBron and ad are not. Their only hope is to find 3 to 4 solid role players in the off-season and build depth out that way. Not easy to do especially since the free agent class isn't all that strong and lacks what they need shooting wings.

We talk about trading for multiple star and super star players as if the Lakers had over 10 valuable trading pieces right now. We forget that out of the last 5 years Lakers didn't make the Playoffs twice, once they played in the Play in tournament and got kicked out in the first playoff Round and now they compete for the second worst place in Western Conference π. How are you going to get Beal? There are teams who would offer about 4 first round picks and 3 solid players for Bradley Beal! This is just insane.
