Don't be so confident that they won't win 57 games. Depth, versatility, skilled youth, and coaching appear to be gaining importance in the past couple of years. Memphis, Boston, and Cleveland are good examples.

What has happened here is that Danny Ainge is a great evaluator of talent. He has a knack for it. He sat back and watched the old Jazz team, saw that they weren't going to advance past the 1st or 2nd round, and saw that didn't have the chemistry to make it all the way. The Jazz had no way of advancing any further than what they were doing and he decided to push the reset button. Yeah it hurt to watch the team be dismantled. But Ainge used his abilities and he rebuilt the Jazz. They are already ahead of the curve in this rebuild. They won't be making trades before the deadline, as they have a young team that already exceeding expectations, and they have the draft capital to make themselves even better for years to come. Why tank? they aren't going too. With the drafts picks Utah has, they can trade up and get a better player and just help add to what they already have. They're going to go deep into the playoffs and surprise everyone.
