Of all times to call it lol. Fuck the 100s of times it happens a game.

  2. Brutus_Khan

Bro this literally happened like 8 seconds ago.

  3. Firstolympicring

The call from our announcer was hilarious “HE TRAVELED ”

This after a Hornets player missed a free throw and he went “AHA” like an eureka moment lol

  4. They never call this travel at the end of games, rip hornets

  5. Definition of “lame” call. Idc if it’s accurate or not.

  6. Refs do not give the slightest damn anymore lol

  7. Kyler1313

That is technically a travel, but man to call it there is just crazy. If you call that a travel, you have to call the other 50+ times it doesn’t get called mid game. Just no consistency…

  8. Kapono24

TECHNICALLY a travel but feels like one they should’ve let go.

  9. GoldDynasty

As a warriors fan, I get this pain. Kelly giveth and Kelly taketh away

  10. SnooRadishes79

I thought “refs don’t call travels on game deciding possessions”.

  11. EasyMoneyMason

Stripes hating the hornets what’s new!

  12. EstablishmentFirm402

On one hand, that’s a travel.. on the other, they never call that so why do it now?

  13. I feel like this kind of travel (picking up your foot before you start your dribble) is actually called fairly frequently and consistently. It’s also kind of less excusable for a player to commit because it should be easy to avoid doing it. Travels involving gather steps are way more debatable but to me this is cut and dry, regardless of it being a late game possession.

It’s about freaking time. Traveling has gotten out of hand for years, and receiving the inbound pass and then taking several steps is a part of the game that has really degraded into taking waaaay too many steps. I hope this gets called more.

  15. H20onthego

Make up call for the offensive foul on Jimmy.

  16. That’s a good call and correct call. Hope they were making that call all night long and not just that one time

  17. mimepants

Damn they had to make an example of someone 😂 😂

  18. Slurms_McKenzie775

OH NOW THEY WANT TO CALL THESE SUBTLE TRAVELS IN A MIAMI GAME

  19. Bedobdubsbubs

And yet they didn’t catch Herro’s walk vs the kings hmmm….

  20. Snackin4dayz

Butler sort of nudged him when he was closing out. Not a foul but def made him step. Should have just been a play on.

  21. I just don’t get this. Like it’s obviously a travel. How do these players not have it ingrained in them not to fucking move both feet while holding the ball? Like you’ve been playing basketball 20+ years at this point. That’s one of the most basic fundamental rules.

Travel every time. Last 15 seconds of a game, all eyes are on you. Way out in mid-court so he’s not blocked by other players. He was already allowed steps to secure it. Shifted his pivot foot ball without dribbling. Shouldn’t be controversial.

  23. I hate to say it, but that’s definitely a travel. Sloppy move, all he had to do was dribble before moving his pivot foot

  24. davoarid

Ok I’ll be honest: I watch about a hundred games a year and still have no goddamn clue what a travel is.

  25. the-real-truthtron

This sub kills me. half of you are mad at the call because you don’t think it’s a travel. The other half are mad because it is “late game”. The fucking dude lifted his pivot foot before he dribbled the ball, travel.

Obviously not all posts in this thread are people with their heads up their asses, but come on, are we talking about the same sport? Dude traveled, time left on the clock is irrelevant, how consistently it gets called is irrelevant. If you gonna be mad, be mad it doesn’t get called more often, not that it got called here, but that it doesn’t get called when others do it. As for all you spouting shit about it is ok to not call travels when it doesn’t change the game, why have rules then? Why not let teams break all the rules if they are up big? Fucking idiocy. Play the game right, no whistles, no turnovers. Simple as that.

  26. The entire NBA will have to adjust if they call this

It’s fucked up they call it once to impact a close game but not at any other time

  27. Anyone in this thread bitching about this call is automatically an idiot in my eyes. Yeah, it would be great if the refs were consistent, but regardless, a blatant travel is a fucking blatant travel and there would be huge bitching here if the refs hadn’t called this one.

Oubre should know better, that is simply an amateur move.
