if i were the nets i’d play it by ear. if we’re 15 games over 500 by the break and ben looks better and the team is gelling, then let it ride.

if we start to falter again and don’t have anything going by february we need to blow it up

As they should there’s no need to rebuild.

Good, very good. Give this damn team a chance. Give JV a chance. I’m loving the early signs.

Next 3 games are Clippers, Lakers, Kings. Clippers are by far the toughest and they’ll go as Paul George takes them. Lakers probably without LeBron, as long as Clax does a good Job on AD we should be fine.

Sacramento is tougher because they have played every team, good or bad, very close. I think Kev will have to bail us out of that one (Unless Kyrie is back and bought in).

I wanna go 6-1 since JV becoming to coach (I don’t count the Bulls game because 6 hours is nothing to help the team), but I think I’ll be happy with 5-2. Expecting One loss either in Clippers or the Kings game. Should have us at 7-8. I want 8-7 and over .500 but we’ll see.

Hard to really pin things on Vaughn so they’d better give him some space. Can’t play the best player on the team, a roster spot and tons of cash wasted on Simmons and a team full of personality problems. It will be a huge success if he can just get the team focused on a game for once.

I don’t care who we played, the past few games have been the best team basketball I’ve seen the nets play in years.

Even from such a small sample size it’s very clear that Nash was never able to get buy-in from the players (especially KD) and as a result was never able to get them to play in a system. Even if he was a good X’s and O’s coach (he wasn’t), it wouldn’t have mattered.

Well coached teams usually do 3 things well; fight for rebounds, play committed team defense, and run a ball movement heavy offense. At the start of the season we were just praying that we would outscore opposing teams resulting in super high scoring games. This is a recipe for failure.

Now we are actually exceeding at those 3 things and using KD’s inhuman ability to score from anywhere as our secret weapon.

It’s time for Ben to permanently come off the bench

Remember how people were saying KD was done after that Celtics series? He looked old, slow and was on the decline 😂

Hopefully it means Kyrie will be back against the Lakers

This tells me they plan on having Kyrie back
