The Utah Jazz are making a HUGE Mistake.

#shorts the Utah Jazz have a 0% chance of winning the NBA championship, so they should be trying to tank, not lose in the first round of the playoffs.

  1. Hereā€™s the thing. They have enough draft assets that say the twolvesā€™ pick is good they can just use that. Also Iā€™m pretty sure thereā€™s a 3rd pick they can use. U might be right though, ud get GM of the year if you trade like Clarkson, Conley while theyā€™re hot, maybe even Markannen get a crap ton of compensation on top of the stash that the teams already sitting on

  2. Bro they got like 13 firsts and a ton of salary think how much they could get with that even if they lose on the wemby sweepstakes

  3. The chances of them getting Victor isn't more than 20% either, they could bottom out and could still not pick in the top 2. The chances that they could get a player who's playing better than Markkanen right now isn't that great either. And draft prospects aren't a surefire thing either, like Wembanyama could be really injury prone because of his height and frame. Danny Ainge built a good contender while only missing the playoffs in one year. The winning culture is important and now they have loads of Timberwolves draft picks also helps.

  4. Every year there is a best prospect since LBJ. yā€™all putting too much pressure on those kids.

  5. The league would punish them, this team is honestly too good to be in the sweepstakes, and everyone would see that, and know the difference between tanking play, and bad play.

  6. L take. If you can be first place in the west you are a good basketball team. Donā€™t encourage tanking.

  7. Nah bro they arenā€™t bad enough to get the number 1 pick regardless itā€™s better to sell players like lauri high at the deadline for more draft capital, etc. And winning does matter from a business standpoint the organization isnā€™t going to want to lose and have empty seats . Same reason why Packers resigned rodgers

  8. Trash take when being in the bottom 3 only gives you a 14% chance of getting that lottery pick šŸ‘ŽšŸ‘ŽšŸ‘ŽšŸ‘Ž

  9. idk man its not worth it to give away what seems to be working (and is lots of fun to watch) for 15% chance to hit the wemby sweepstakes. There's no guarantee that wemby will even live up to these standards anyways. Tall people like him become injury prone all the time. Besides Utah's got so many picks, they can do whatever they want really.

  10. No they should build with this success, you may not know what the Timberwolves pick can bring as they are currently struggling.

  11. They are not going to let victor go to the jazz, also we have a million first rounders so there is no need to tank

  12. Never a mistake trying to win games. Much respect to the Jazz for their start this season

  13. Do u watch their games. They got so many fans attending the games. They have great ball movement, and play with heart. Everyone is committed, and they have veterans to mentor the young guys. I'd say keep winning, because that's what basketball is all about.

  14. This is a bad take, I think we all know theyā€™re clearly gonna tank, no doubt Ainge swings this for more picks

  15. See this is what annoys me about american sport! A team has to intentionally play badly to be rewarded in the future. Your team should play to their best every single game they can. Relegation and promotion is one of the greatest aspects of football. You go down a division for playing badly and go up a division for playing well. There needs to be something like this implemented into the NBA

  16. i dont think its a mistake. even if they were tanking they would only have like a 8 to 14% chance to get victor and it would be more likely for them to not get a top 3 pick then getting it. theyre building culture here and establishing a good system and young players. obviously i dont think they're contendors at all and they have no all stars on their roster, but still, imagine with all these picks and assets they land a disgruntled superstar. you already have a team that knows how to win games and has a good system, and now you get the missing piece to compete in the playoffs. so no its not a mistake at all, instead of hoping for luck they're going to do everything in their control to make this season a valuable one

  17. Normally ur takes are decent but this one a hard miss. Jazz have so much draft capital that they still have a chance to trade up for the 1st overall pick but also if they play good the people they have on their roster rn will be worth more value to trade for a star player down that line
