Losing these last two against Orlando and Washington hurt a little more when looking at the remaining stretch this month, or I would say, before the 18th.
Even the next 3 we play Portland and the Clippers, both who can cause some problems. That 18th – 29th stretch is brutal, will probably be the toughest of the season.

In all seriousness. Tanking is easily the smartest decision the Mavs can take this season. This team is incredibly assets thin. Just the idea of trading for a mid level star would demolish our roster. Even the teams that are already better than us have better assets. We are in a horrible position.
People like to say “but Luka..” No people, look at the big picture. Luka ain’t carrying us against what the league is today. The league went up like 5 levels from year 2 Luka to year 5 Luka. We are looking at a league with 10+ strong/very strong/great teams from now on. And we at best in the strong category!!
