I think you're wrong on Romeo losing minutes when Wesley gets back. Remember, under Pop if you can play D you will get minutes and Romeo has shown he can be a serious disrupter. You are right that Romeo is very hesitant on offense. I think by the middle of the season you'll see him shooting those shots that he's currently passing up. Also when Zach Collins gets back I would love to see Pop put Bassey and Collins on the court at the same time. I feel like Collins works best in the perimeter where he can stretch the floor the only question is can Collins guard smaller 4's away from the basket. I don't know I may be reaching but it would be interesting.
If the spurs can average 6 less turnovers a game and of those 6 turnovers they get 3 buckets that's an additional 6 pts a game at minimum. What would the spurs record be if they had 6 more points? Some of those turnovers are just boneheaded sloppy plays. Spurs can definitely cut those out it's just a lack focus sometimes. Douggie McBuckets has suprised me with his slashing and downhill drives to the bucket. He's quickly becoming one of my favorites since he is no longer a one dimensional player. Josh is struggling at the point because he's a natural 2 guard. I think Wesleys absence has affected Josh the most. Sochan is fun to watch. I really hate that we lost Chip Engalland because Sochan really needs help on his shot.
Keldon and Devin are doing what we expected averaging 20ppg. Jakob is the spurs pillar of stability and I hope we don't trade him. Tre has been great and if he can start shooting and making more 3's that will really open up the lane for him and his floater. Aside from Primo's degenerate behavior it's been a fun rebuild season so far. GSG!
I've always liked Jakob. But it seems A lot of yall have always wanted to get rid of him. Do you think he's a keeper or we still need an upgrade? I'll admit I don't watch full games so im just wanting opinions

"We" got a good chance to beat the Warriors on Monday. The Spurs will be the 2nd game for them on a back to back. If only Keldon made one more free throw against the Grizzlies…I'm liking "our" chances for at least a 2-2 road trip. Go Spurs Go!!! No Giants No!!!

Probably the most competitive 1-2 week, all teams playoff teams and the games went down to the last minute. Jeremy Scohan doing tons of stuff not showing up in the box score. Tre Jones is shooting 42% from the 3 for the whole year. I'd be happy with him being our PG of the future, he is a restricted free agent next year though. Bassey's per 36 in 27 career games 15 ppg, 14.7 rpg, 4bpg, 1.1 spg , 78% ft% (protection against hack-a-Jakob), showing signs of shooting the 3 … but as you pointed out 7 fouls per game. If anyone can fix that, it's the Spurs. Sign the man while he is still cheap!
I don't understand why everyone wants to get rid of Jakob. He does what he's supposed to do and does it exceptionally well. Roby just needs playing time, I think he's just in a slump. He's a great pickup in my opinion. I've always liked Bassey since he played here in San Antonio in high school at St Anthony's. They compared him to Shaq when Shaq played for Cole High School in San Antonio.
Woj is talking about Westbrook for Richardson and McBuckets? God I hope not. I couldn't see those guys wanting to go. Spurs looks like a fun place to play atm.
I know it was only 1 game and a half but I really can't wait to see Blake Wesley return, I know he played crazy loose in the summer league but he has crazy explosion heading to the basket and he can knock down the 3 good enough, I think if he plays into the system and doesn't try and over do anything like he had to in the summer league he could give a boost to this already fast playing squad
1- What many can’t understand is that Tre Jones can break defenses like very few. He is quick and can make the right play when breaks happen. Even scoring 13 pg he assists and hockey passes a lot.
2- Bassey should sign a 3 year deal yesterday. He is the bruiser we lacked since forever. He can push around players, he can score, defend, rebound and is a fast learner.
3- Hope Poeltl stays long term. He is one of the best true centers left. He is developing into a crafty creator lately and will improve even more if he stays.
4- Socham is one reliable shooting ability of becoming a centerpiece.
J rich should not be a distributor of the ball I think he contributes to half of our turnovers; but on the other hand he has great hands as a defender a 3 point shot and decent mid range losing him or if we do lose him or trading him it will hurt the team.
At this point, even if we mess up with the Exhibitionist lottery pick last year, I would like to thank the Sixers, Doc and Morey for giving us Bassey….
