communication is a non-negotiable in any scheme. lazy switching teams always get confused by these non-contact actions (ghosts, slips, etc)
what’s funny is russ & pg used this same action as their bread and butter late in okc. take a look at pg’s gamewinner vs the nets. very similar to this.

Giving to much credit to the touch, it depends on the player getting touched how they react . In a moment like that a slight touch wouldn't take my mind out of the moment.
