  1. 3 games in a row now that they play look lethargic. did the team catch a virus or something?

  2. When I watched Banton turn over the ball in a very casual fashion that resulted in a layup I was thinking why does Jeff Dowtin Jr. not get any run? At times I think Banton is out of control and is desperate to prove his worth … it's not what we need right now. With Dowtin we get a team first quarterback who makes everyone better around him. Meanwhile Downtin can shoot, attack the rim, has great court vision, and is "always" in control of the ball and his body.

  3. Chev speaking relatable facts. I had some experiences with coworkers who just go to work, sluggish & disinterested. I was furious coz I did all of their work plus my own work. I mean, he still earned money for less work. And there I was earning what I’m supposed to, but I was overloaded! Man, I wanna smack him on his face. 😂 but of course I did not. I just told him “You could’ve just stayed home.” 😅

  4. Everyone is at fault:
    Here are some thoughts:
    1. The fans wanting effect: when you want something so desperately, it has the opposite effect. When you wish every shot to go down, it pops out. Net, relax – raps are good, they'll come back. Just don't jinx them by wanting desperately.
    2. The weakest link effect: Fred & Scottie are at 50% health level (back, flu, ankle) and creates a weak link. Scottie can't defend guys blowing by him 'cause he can't move his feet as he normally can. Let Scottie heal, he is hurting.
    3. The error correction feedback loop effect: Malachi & Banton need to be on the game more and more. Reacting to a 3 min non-productive stretch is not enough for adjustment and error correction. Nurse is too reactive! Malachi will get hot after the 5min mark. And, encourage Banton to be aggressive.
    4. The quantum entanglement effect: what happens to one affects all because their senses are entangled. If one misses a couple of shots, everyone else begins to miss his shot! No raps player was able to make consistent shots yesterday. On the contrary, most 3pt shots from the Thunder team were going down. Weird! But, that's physics! It is the coaching staff's job to recognize that and break the entanglement.
    5. The losing on your strength effect: teams have recognized Raps strength and figured out how to out do it. Aggressive style of play is raps strength but when others outmatch it, they get confused and lost. Couching staff need to figure out how to counter. Nick lost yesterday not the team.

  5. My biggest issue with the team is boxing out. Playing all that hard defence and not coming up with the rebound is unacceptable. Coach better get these boys running box out drills until they puke. No box out, no playing time. I would rather see these boys play all out and call for a substitution, then play half ass to stay on the court.

  6. That effort was brutal. I think they can turn it around but Fred has some serious decision making issues. We got it down to 15 after Scottie started cooking and Fred comes down and jacks a couple of 3s on consecutive trips and it was a wrap…..Banton may be good down the road but right about now he doesn't look like an NBA player. He can't shoot, pass or drive aggressively….would love to see Downtin Jr get some run.

  7. #NBAChev The folks who should be looking for 3pts shots are FVV, GTJr, OttoPorterJr, Juancho, Flynn… #OG3 should be drive first, then 3 as a backup… Everyone else should be drive to the rim first and always… I know Scottie is developing his 3pt shot but with Pascal out, don't until it is absolutely necessary like clock run out…If Scottie ankle is injured then play him limited minutes in spurts throughout the game so he can keep his aggression level up.. He has to take Pascal's role in his absence, be the engine for the team…
For a young team we are looking slow and lethargic.. Nick Nurse says play fast with pace, and energy, they're not doing so… I will watch tonight's game and see if we have any energy..

If not, I will sell my tickets and not attend any games until Pascal return. We have to play for pride now… I know Masai and Bobby not happy with these performances… Younguns are missing out on their opportunities to show that they belong in the NBA…

Stop calling out to the refs, and play the game.. You will not get any calls, look at Pascal, he sucks it up and just keep going…It took years for his to get a few measly calls to the FT line… Play with force… OKC physically abused us and we took it wimpering…SMDH

  8. I only watched the 1st half, if these mofos have better shit to do, so do I… the only one who looked like he cared was Boucher, and Fred at times..

I get losing once in a while during an 82 game season, that's to be expected. But last night I did not recognize my team, our team… a 180° turn is needed immediately.

  9. Nurse is the culprit cause he doesn't use players that needs to gain confidence like hernangomez, malachi and koloko. they need to be in rotation this early this season…. nurse is overrated he rely his starter even they are off…….barnes should not distribute the ball let malaci do his job..

  10. This is all on the players. We all know what Nurse and his coaching staff expect, but it’s up to the players to execute.

  11. not feeling Freddy at PG. He'll have inefficient high scoring nights here and there but he doesn't really orchestrate the offense well. He's not directing guys where to be, getting the ball to where it needs to go, it's just give me the ball and get out of the way most of the time. Lowry was good at making on the fly adjustments mid game. You kind of need that type of player that can quarterback your offense because relying on your coach to call every single play becomes predictable. Every team knows each others plays. It's the subtle on the fly adjustments to a set play that makes for an unpredictable offense and it's on your PG to recognize these subtleties. Freddy and our half court offense is becoming too predictable at this point. We need to increase Barnes' usage as a primary playmaker and Freddy needs to 100% commit to more of an off-ball role because it's one thing to say you'll play more off ball but in game we can see that he still has a habit of dominating the ball while guys stand around on the perimeter.

  12. Maybe they're talented players but their IQ is very low.
Maybe they're eager to hurry up and get back to their rant social media popularity context as their extra-curriculum activity. So who cares about that damn game.
Maybe they're business man now, making so much money that their head spin to where to invest next.
Maybe they're trying to get the coach fire which isn't gonna happen any time soon.
Maybe the Thunder sent some escorts to their rooms the night before as they do during the soccer World Cup Qualifying to take those man out and off their game the day before.
Maybe, as someone suggested the the other day, Scottie is concern about the hurricane passing by Florida as we talk.
Maybe GTj needs another hair style which has become a distraction.
Maybe jealousy hit the locker room as Scottie got so many commercial on tv and getting extra money.
Maybe Malachi is going around causing division among players since he think he should be playing 40 mins to score 10 points per.
Maybe players are afraid to slip on the floor as Pascal did, being in the wrong business but not knowing it.
Maybe some players are bored to death since Raps don't have any drama going on as the rest of some NBA teams, so some players want to create one.
Maybe some players are tired of Fred lecturing them about how to become a champ.
Maybe some players now realized :
"shit !! this is harder than I thought. gonna die, too much work with that NN".
Maybe some players, called crybabies, like the clown Lou Williams, realizing
"shit !! this Canadian currency looks like monopoly money."
"Why I've to open a new account in this country bank?."
"You're telling me that I can't buy a gun at walmart".
"The damn TV channels are not the same as in the States, it's frustrating".
"Milk in a bag? What the hell?"
And so on and so on. Meanwhile, around the world, million of people suffering and struggling to survive every single. My two cents.

  13. Gary Trent should come off for couple of games he is playing like he want out every body was ball watching last night Now defense

  14. Chev right now reminds me of Slim Charles and Stringer after that Sunday morning attempt on Omar. 🤭😅

  15. Yow chev last night game we beet our self scott and Gary IS playing soft they keep playing down to their opponents one love

  16. The issue on defense was everyone was ball watching no one was watching their man on cuts or anything fuck I was yelling at the tv

  17. It's sports people. When a home team is pumped up by the crowd and nails career shots it wears you down. OKC shot 55%. No team in the league would have won in OKC last night. There is no bigger reason. Come on. Everyone was scored on. OKC had no problems shooting. How many games so far has a team shot 55% this year??? Tell me

  18. Straight up karma. Every day as a Thunder fan I see Raptor fans on twitter saying Shai is tired of losing, get him to a real team like Toronto, etc etc. This was just a beautiful piece of karma 🥲

  19. htank you for calling out GTJ… not impressed with him in this stretch. he has to be better. reminds me of T-ross with his inconsistency minus lisa ann.

flynn wastes so much energy with his cross over. WASTED energy

  20. Simply put, if we are missing any of our top 7 or 8 players i`m not as confident. Not having Siakim is the worst case scenario, as the swagger is pretty well gone, holding on for dear life kind of feeling. They better come ready to play in Indiana because the pacers play hard and i`m expecting Mathurin to come out playing like an absolute beast.

  21. I knew what was coming; I couldn't even watch this okc game knowing Pascal and Achiuwa are injured. I am worried until at least Pascal is back. Who's fault? for me it's NN, relying too much on the starters, not raising the bench confidence and play time, no offense strategy, no positive look at the basket, bad habits, no clear mandate for each player which cause Achiuwa to injure himself, so on and so forth

  22. I've been a little worried about the offense since the Raps put up the analytics screen in the locker room. The players are athletes not the numbers guys. That shit is just going to get in their heads and it's very easy to misuse statistics. Players could be seeing that certain shots are going in more or less and overreacting by avoiding or forcing certain shots, they could be taking the success of certain plays in a vacuum and forgetting the rest of the game that sets up those opportunities, they could simply be guilty of stat watching and stressing over things that don't matter more than making winning plays. Analytics are for coaching staffs and management, not players. Players just have to work on their game.

  23. Next man up. I dont blame health, I dont blame schedule. Next man up mentality. I'm far from panic mode. We lost, next man up.

  24. Chev I turned the game off when they had the lead and cause it seemed like they won. I check the game later with 2 minutes left and Pacers somehow had the lead. I look at the stat line. I respect every player on this team but Scottie should be the one putting up Bouchers stats, Gary should've been the one 2-3 from three with the 14 points Dalano had. Both of those players can get Boucher and Dalano's stat lines with ease. Like common man, when Pascal is out they should see it as an opportunity to shine. We all know both can drop 30 with ease. But it seems like now their scared because if they start to fumble, Pascal won't be there to clean up the mess. And Trent seems to have the problem Tatum had last year where he worked on his game so much that he wants to apply it so bad. Like, yes he has the skill, but preserve that for the 4th when defenses lock in and it's not there. If we're being honest, we don't need Trent to score 20 points quarters 1-3, every guy on the team can put it in the bucket 1-3. But only him and few guys can score in the 4th, and that's where he should save the tougher shot selections for. Now by taking all these tough shot selections in the start, he's too tired, not confident, and doesn't have the feel for it in the 4th!! However, I believe Scottie and Gary will get back to themselves eventually. Shoutout to OG though, Masai better pay him his money at all cost.

Edit: I did base what I said with what I saw in the 1st, the end, last game, and the box score. I could be wrong cause I didn't watch the second half.

  25. Pascal slipped so hard he tore GTJ groin too. I don't understand why Scottie is playing on a bum ankle in November

  26. I missed the game because of work and it took me several minutes to realize that this video was about the OKC game because they laid another damn egg tonight.

Already ready for a heated Chev

  27. Raps playing too much. Couldve been 9-5. Need some sense of urgency common man. They got to comfortable, now they got a bunch of teams just right behind them
