Barring injuries, they're very likely going to win more games than you'd like. Even with trading away the vets, they're going to be winning games at similar rate… Out of every 15 games, they'll win 7 (IMO). If that turns out to be true, the Spurs might use their plethora of draft picks in order to be buyers rather than sellers. Every year someone unexpected becomes available.

I think saying "We don't have a star" is a bit much. You're partly right in that Keldon/Devin aren't top 20 right now. But Keldon is a top 20 scorer and plays much better defense than most of the guys that score better than him, he can easily turn into a tatum type star in my mind with another year or two and average a good 27 ppg with 50 fg% and 40 3fg%, whereas Devin is already the third most efficient player in the NBA in scoring and can turn into a DeRozen with playmaking ability and play 1-2 for the Spurs and average 25 PPG with with 50 fg% and 40 3fg%. Devin is also not bad on defense. So to me we have two great potential stars. Would it be great to get a Luka/Ja/Duncan/KD/Lebron in the draft? Sure. But we got Kawhi from pick 15, Keldon was 29th, Manu was 58th. Jokic and Dray came from the second round, Bassey just was waived and we see how good he is, Giannis is the best player and he was picked 15th or so, Curry was picked 7th or so. We can find or develop our guy a billion different ways. We don't need a top pick
