Twolves picked up Gobert to dump Kat for all the picks back and more help for Edwards and Gobert. This is a rebuild move without tearing it all down. KAT is soft. They need a true pg and an alpha vet. Gobert is an insurance policy to move on from KAT.
DLo is the worst point guard the wolves have ever had…and that's saying a lot.

Dlo is just too soft right now !! This season he should be stepping up like he is just becoming a average passing first guard instead of using his physical gifts to become a scoring guard and sacrifice in putting efforts in defense.

6:48 DLo is anything but a limited offensive player, though. If anything, being crafty in the offensive end is his bread and butter–and he's a proven closer; ain't that what the ice in my veins celebration is all about?
I think what happened here is as the years went on in his T'Wolves stint, he lost the touch since the main offensive focus are KAT and Ant. Add feeding Gobert the ball just enough to let him finish inside in 1 sec via a dunk or alley to make him effective is another thing for him to think of. I think he has lost touch with who he is as a player. He was relegated to a pass first mentality guard in a time in the league where point guards are given the go signal to let it rip if a chance presents itself.
As much as I wanted for Minny to be his home, sadly, he might need to go to rediscover his game, a la Lauri Markkanen
D Russell needs to lift weights seriously, get some new pr's on squat, bench, deadlift, pullup and overhead press. Retool himself into something the Heat would want, ala Tim Hardaway. If he took his body composition seriously he'd have enough momentum to justify his talent.
All the talent in the world means nothing if he isn’t willing to put in the work it takes to unlock and maximize that talent. So many players today have loads of talent but once they get their bag they just don’t seem as interested in winning. The Timberwolves have multiple players that hate to lose but are ok with it. They aren’t motivated to overcome their problems or to use it to drive themselves to be better players. They are ok with losing and have accepted it as part of the game because that’s now the culture of the Timberwolves organization,unfortunately. They have to blow it up and not only move D-lo and Kat basically everyone but Ant and Gobert. Rebuild from the ground up front office and all.
I would trade Dlo Kat Gobert for the Lakers big 3 tbh plus twolves have shooters

As a wolves fan, I've seen a lot of losing basketball….but dlo is the worst thing I've ever seen. His talent is all world, but his effort and lack of awareness of how to play WINNING basketball is embarrassing. He has to go, he is an absolute team killing, Stat padding, me first clueless jack ass of a player.

Its the Nba you sending picks is not always the end you can always get some picks back further down the line when you have assets, this is Antman's team now when this experiment does not go to plan they can trade Kat for a player and some picks and rebuild around ant, it's not the end of the world.
