A fugly win is still a win. I'll still take it over an L. I'm impressed that our team doesn't over-celebrate such grind out wins against the worst teams in the NBA. Last year's weakness was bottom-feeders and home games. I hope this win is a step in the right direction. For me the most frustrating thing about this game (after poor execution) was that we would make a shot, and within 4 or 5 seconds it was answered back at the other end. We gotta get back on defense! I'm wondering why we didn't do that, as we are known to be a team that has a strong transition game. I mean Houston got just one rebound less than us and still managed to run. Does anyone notice that the refs take their sweet old time handing over the ball after our opponent makes a basket, preventing us from executing quick transition plays? Anyway, I suspect with the injuries and the upcoming stretch of sub .500 opponents that NN will take the opportunity to experiment with some 2nd and 3rd string players in the rotation. That should shut up some of our fans. I just hope that they make the most out of the opportunities and that it doesn't start a losing streak. Get well soon Spicy P! We the North! Go Raps!!!
Indeed frustrating but a win is a win besides its not like anyone on the rockets catch fire their highest score was 15 but it shows you how when everyone on a team contributes how impressive a team can look my problem with our raptors team is why is everyone taking threes Christian Koloko, Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton do these guys know that twos count. When everyone taking threes what that tells me is guys are playing with fear 😰 not OG! But it shows nobody wants to go into the paint to hustle a two. That is an issue. We are tall enough to bully this league

There is not a scintilla of doubt that the Raptors lead the league in having the largest deficit in FTs on the night when we are at f'ing home! Even our media members were tweeting about it.
Ah… I remember back in the Bargnani days, and when the Raps were pure crap, there were many games like this in reverse. Always up at half, and a loss 24 minutes later. It was always said that teams had to learn how to win. So we won. The Rockets are like a little puppy running, hard to control, but in the end easy enough to deal with. Jalen Green is light a lightning bolt. Those guards from the Philippines always are; good three ballers, hard to contain, and legit, he is flat-out deadly. But, if a team gives you open three, an NBA player has to take them… and hit them!!! The Raptors, if they are going anywhere, must hit open threes.
So proud of my boy OG, maybe he does watch Chev and seen our comments. One day he'll realize how much damage a 6'7 235lbs athletic dude can do against these smaller guards in the NBA.
With Precious it's all in the eyes and body language he's been gifted with all the tools but he's lazy and not hungry enough. I didn't see him working out this summer and hardly saw him at the Rico runs… I get the feeling he's in his feelings cause he not starting over Christian or getting less mins than the rook.
The half court offence is really frustrating to watch, I would love to see dowtin sneak into the rotation with his wiggle and penetration game… I also hate that bullshit weave at the ark like cmon man .. Scottie looks hurt too so if he needs a day off to heal then so be it … we deep and got hungry guys .. 🤦🏾♂️
OG knows he has 40 mins out there with Precious shitting the bed all the time. Crazy how some players get so much in their head and mess up their play. Also, I’m not super high on Koloko, sorry. Sometimes Boucher is way better and needed.

I don't know if it's the coaches schemes or it's just the players not running the proper offense but there is soo little motion offense. No movement. Look at how the Rocket move during thier offensive sets. It was beautiful actually. The Raptors need to look at that and do more moment offense.
Very frustrating to watch for sure. We were struggling so bad with a team that’s last in the league, how?? OKC will be tough too cause you know Shai will have a monster game when he plays us. Hopefully we can figure things out fast. Without spicy P, it’s gonna be tough.

Good take on the game. It was a win, but frustrating at that. I was getting so annoyed watching them try to take 3 after 3 when they werent going down. Drive the lane, and get the 2 if you're not feeling the 3. GTJ shoots the ball a bit much. When he's hot, its great. But when he's not, it can be hard to watch him miss shot after shot when there are open guys to pass to for an easier basket. It could've easily been a blow out just by playing smarter basketball. Going back to the basics sometimes can work wonders. Loving what I see from Otto and Thad though. We need those veterans.

Five players that nick nurse needs to press and get them to switch from 5 out mentality to Drive and kick. I noticed that recently he’s brought that back that needs to be our main offence.
When OG, Boucher, Achiwa, Scottie, Banton, Play BIG and or drive strong with no hesitation they look like veterans. But all these man are still very hesitant to guard and protect the rim and or drive the paint anything to do with contact the aren’t necessarily scared they are hesitating and it hinders the possibility of a good outcome whether on D or Offence.
Imagine if Scottie did that post move to dunk on Vucevic, more often, with confidence I think him and any of these guys can average 10-15 in the paint alone they all have shown decent jumpers well more so Boucher and OG then Banton, Scottie, Achiwa but the point we know that the have the ability to hit the shot. I think a paint focused offence with some 3pt fits this team better. I’ve seen glimpses of it this year with some of the plays we run. But I guess we will see🤷🏿♂️
Raptors is a bit slow against faster opponent like Maxey they have length but slow. Raptors should used Juancho hernangomez an excellent shooter give hime confidence let Malachi play as PG Barnes should stick to his game and improve PF/center then he can make plays He is trying too much.
The best part of this game was that it was over 😂 and we won. But other than that, it was a nasty game to watch
