    Paraphrasing here:

Stacey: “You don’t have to tell good teams to play defense every game.”

Stacey: “Booker can play defense. Even Harden will try on defense. Why can’t Zach?”

I love this team, but fuck man .. they’re in a pretty bad spot right now.

  2. why404notfound

The Phoenix Suns have officially become a bad team.
    Embarrassing L

    Takeaways from tonight’s game:

    * Demar shot the ball well. About the only positive from tonight. No one else was really there.
    * Vucevic gave Ayton like 5-6 bunnies in the first quarter that really set the tone poorly. Not bad but also not a good shooting night from him.
    * Zach was pretty mediocre. Man’s gotta start making some 3’s. At least he got to the line tonight. The fact I’m seeing Coby tell him where to be on defense is actually fucking insane though. Still just hoping he finds his rhythm.
    * Pat shot poorly, but defended Booker pretty well over the 1st quarter, even if I do think it’s a mistake to put him on guards. Booker got hot when he was on the bench and then basically torched whoever was on him after that. Not a great showing as a whole.
    * Ayo’s 3 point shot is crazy right now. Sometimes it’s the Pat rainbow, sometimes it’s a line drive, but it’s never the same. His defense was his best attribute last year and I didn’t see any of it tonight.
    * No one on the bench was really notable. AC is shooting the ball better recently after his rough start to the year, so that’s something I suppose. 13 points from the rest of the bench isn’t great.
    * At the end of it all, we shot sub 20% from 3, got the shit out-rebounded out of us, and no one besides Demar shot the ball well. Really hard (read: impossible) to win games like that. Star players put up big games and bad shooting nights happen. Just going to move on to the next one because there’s nothing to do about it.

    MVP’s for tonight: Demar

  4. This is bleak man… Billy maybe make some adjustments? Just maybe, idk just my 2 cents.

  5. rainytreeday

P Will is just taking up a roster spot. He looks like shit out there and moves like a ton of bricks.

  6. CubsBearsIlliniBulls

Chicago is truly in sports hell

  7. Atrain175

Have we ever had a Zach-Devin duel? Or does he just out play him everytime lmao

  8. dukeespn

Arturas Karnisovas : “We will not settle for mediocrity here.”

He said that quote in May 17 2021. Sam Smith also wrote that he “focused on poor shooting and the lack of scoring and being tougher and more aggressive in getting to the basket.”

    [https://www.nba.com/bulls/features/arturas-karnisovas-we-will-not-settle-mediocrity-here](https://www.nba.com/bulls/features/arturas-karnisovas-we-will-not-settle-mediocrity-here)

Now this is what we saw for two consecutive seasons : struggling at hitting 3-pointers while some Bulls players even doesn’t attempt open 3s.

Bulls’ 3pt attempts are ranked at the 30th. Not surprisingly they shot the fewest 3-pointers last season too. In tonight’s game they connected only 4-of-25 (16%) 3-pointers which is a total joke.

Meanwhile our “max player”, who’s never been considered as a top-20 guy by all analytic metrics even when he shots extremely well and yet somehow got the max contract, had the teamworst -17 plus/minus.

It’s time to blow away the roster. Wait until LaVine shots well and trade him too. He’s not THE GUY you can rely on. AKME should have known that simple fact when they came here.

  9. Hope our team finds the 3pt shot again.. 10 for the last 47 or something, those are some Lakers numbers!

Can’t wait for this roadtrip to be over..

  10. Zealousideal-Battle9

I have a hypothesis that anytime a player gets their first baby they start playing worse. I have a sample size of 2. First Lauri now Lavine

  11. Media clowning on us all week, bad Zo update, a complete ass beating from Phoenix… Man been a shitty week ha. This team is all over the place man.

  12. This team isn’t going anywhere with Billy as coach

  13. Look at the upside lads, it took booker and biyombo a 51 piece to beat us, we good 👌

  14. HermanShemsley

This is who this team is. I’m sure most predicted 41-44 wins (maybe 45 if everything was perfect).. nights like this is how you arrive there. Bulls aren’t a “bad” team, but they’re not good either. Middling around .500 is where this team will be all season.

  15. hardboiledboi

I could look at the stats but tonight the players who had the most minutes weren’t playing defense well and just had no energy it felt like they were going through the motions. Demar did good tonight but man that’s the only person I’m really praising tonight.

  16. Earl-Thomas-a-Raven

Tuned into tonight’s game thinking “going against a good team, maybe they’ll show me something”. Boy, was I wrong…

  17. ItsChrisAgain12

My big take away was Booker basically went crazy. There’s a lot of things to work on no doubt but Booker was on one tonight without question. We gotta be able to adjust and throw star players off their rhythm if we wanna stay competitive and frankly we gotta start winning more soon. Oh well, we’ve seen DeMar do this to other teams too, it sucks but hopefully it motivates us for Friday

  18. tooImman

AC should always be this aggressive in scoring..
    Demar still the mvp
PWill is trying to be nxt tony snell..
Zach give us more reason to trade him…
Javonte, gotta to give him more minutes …
    BD, yep he stinks

  19. volantredx

Shitty poorly played game by a team that gave up before the second quarter was over. That said anyone who wants to tank and rebuild should be forced to watch nothing but Boylen ball for the next 5 years. Tanking is a bad move and rarely gets you anywhere past where the Bulls are at the moment.

All that said Billy needs to move Ayo off the starting spot and Zach needs to see a sports psychologist. Neither of them are playing to their potential.

  20. yearsreeling

I don’t know how anyone is still on board with AKME. They are total failures.

  21. yearsreeling

Now onto Golden State for another ass beating

  22. Reptomins

Dalen Terry needs to play real minutes every night. Don’t care how it happens, but it needs to happen. It’s hard to balance winning vs developing young talent, but at this point the future needs to be part of the present.

  23. Encryptedminds

Drummond n green should’ve had more minutes

  24. RogerCosgrove

Booker getting THAT hot was a bit of anomaly but we were down double digits before that really got rolling. Phoenix is a finals contender so I wouldn’t have minded losing competitively but that was embarrassing all-around.

Not thrilled at all but if we win one of our last two road trips games against the Warriors (very doubtful) or Sacramento (they’re on second leg of back-to-back which helps), it’s still a 3-3 trip which is solid. We have A LOT of issues to fix though…

  25. Ugievsoj

Zero team work. Low energy. We’re only playing iso ball right now. Defense was shit.

Tough game to watch let alone cheering for the Bulls.

  26. xChuChainz

Zach only understands basketball through his makes and misses.

There was a glimmer of hope of playing competitive and winning basketball after his involvement with the Olympic team but he clearly does not get it and will never get it.

  27. Repulsive-Office-796

You can’t win in the NBA shooting 16% from 3…..

  28. d_e_l_u_x_e

Zach and Pat, two guys that just weren’t worth the investment. Zach’s knee is the least of his troubles, the guy got the bag and decided to become a role player and can’t consistently do that. Makes Booker look like Kobe in comparison.

  29. long2sniper

This team 3pt shooting is so sad that it’s funny. Watching the Suns offense it’s like night and day.

  30. archangelzero2222

Nights like this I wish we had a Thibs who would make them work in practice and the gym. That guy would make sure the team cared and put the hard work in and if they didnt would not care to sit them in the game and give the minutes to someone who cares. Sure in the long run it may be bad but man this team needs that lift from Thibs magic

  31. mikes41720

This was a hard game to watch. Booker with a 50-piece and the Bulls just can’t seem to sink shots. Low energy on defense too.

  32. Sacredbonezll

We need a defensive big man to help our guards man

  33. Missed the game but it seems booker went nuclear and our 3 stars shot decent from the field. What went wrong?

  34. jzfaus725

Doomers out in full force tonight. Probably the worst fans in the nba.

  35. xChuChainz

Zach had a hand injury last year right? Did he stop taking left hand layups after that?

He just seems to go for off balance right handed bank shots when he drives left.

  36. Capital-Vacation-881

I love the personnel on this team, and I want them to succeed so badly, but this aint it

  37. This game shows why we need Lonzo back in a bad way. This team’s biggest weaknesses are point of attack defense and a lack of volume 3 point shooting, and a healthy Lonzo obviously helps massively in both regards. Hard to win if Lavine is the only real 3 point threat in the starting lineup given that he is in a massive shooting slump currently.

  38. ClaymoresRevenge

Losses like this bring us back to the gates of despair. We can have all the feel good wins we’d like for the season but we have to figure out what this team is?

What do we do well? We’re supposed to have a high defensive ranking, but I don’t see what teams should be afraid of. AC is currently our best defender and everybody else is either mediocre or average at best. That’s not a winning formula for success.

If our starting lineup isn’t cutting it and we’re getting blown out I see no reason why the bench guys don’t get a run earlier. Dalen should be getting minutes just to see what he can do. Play Tony and Marko if we’re going to play this way.

I’m tired of seeing Vooch defend the 3 or someone not staying in front of their man and a miscommunication leads to a mismatch benefiting the other team.

Zach is not playing well and the effort on defense is lacking. We’ve known this. I don’t know what the solution is but letting him shoot out of it as it is isn’t helpful. Make the extra pass if the shot isn’t falling.

This offensive scheme sucks so bad

  39. TheloniousMonk15

I think we can dead the narrative that this a flawed team that beats good teams and loses to bad ones. Plenty of losses to good teams now as well.

We just are not really good abd barring a miraculous Lonzo recovery will go no where this season.

  40. K1Bond007

Can’t win games shooting 16% from 3. It’s every other night with this team. Drastic changes need to be made to improve shooting. There is nobody on this team I’d trust to take a 3 point shot when it matters. And that’s sad. In that scenario, I don’t even know who I’d give the ball to. I definitely don’t trust LaVine.
