The Minnesota Timberwolves played without Karl-Anthony Towns for the first time this season but Anthony Edwards came through, outplaying Ja Morant down the stretch and carrying the Wolves to the win. The Wolves frustrated Morant with a strong defensive game plan, and Jaylen Nowell poured in 24 points off the bench to provide some scoring punch. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down what was best about Chris Finch’s game plan, and what to make of this game: bad Grizzlies loss or good Timberwolves win?

Memphis fans always known for their class. Great win.
Just trying to clarify bench player rankings as Ben seems to matter of fact throw around rankings ("missing 2 of 3 best bench players" and "missing 4 out of 7 best players").
#1 Kyle Anderson
#2 jaylen Nowell
#3 Jordan Maclaughlin
#4 Taurean Prince
#5 Naz Reid
So if you want to argue they were missing 2 out of 3 best, you'd have to conclude that Nowell is worse than jmac AND Prince and I don't think that is correct. Who's playing better obviously fluctuates from night to night, but I could even see the case made for Naz over Prince.
First game Iβve watched where I enjoyed watching the whole game this year. Boys were flying around
