Giannis currently has the highest usage rate in the league at 39.1%

with Kha$h Money returning, this number will probably dip over the season, but it is simply another piece of evidence for Giannis’ MVP campaign for this season.

Other stats for reference:

1. Giannis’ usage rate is currently 3rd highest in NBA history. The only two higher are 2018-19 almost-MVP(lol) Harden @ 40.3%, and 2016-17 MVP Westbrook @ 41.5%
2. Luka Doncic, the MVP frontrunner who everyone says is carrying the Mavericks on his back, currently has a usage rate of 37.8%

tl;dr Giannis do be carrying the bucks fr without Khris and deserves mvp

  1. Mvp rn is tatum in my opinion. Not that i care much about that anyway. Only thing that matters is that we keep winning and getting healthy and in a good ritm. If the players can play less minutes and reach the playoffs 100% and win it all, that’s what’s matter most. Mvp, all star is an afterthought to me

Usage is a flawed stat, it just measures who finishes possessions. If you look at cumulative time with the basketball in hand, Luka has the ball WAY more.

Giannis is crazy for having usage this high bc he does lots of handling but also finishes pnr plays as the roller. I’m glad the future GOAT is on my team.

I would hope that usage rate goes way down and I expect it will with a fully healthy roster. A usage rate this that is not a formula for winning in the playoffs. Just look at the other players listed.
