Leaders in Career Plus-Minus per game: Stephen Curry (+6.59), Kawhi Leonard (+6.43), Tim Duncan (+6.40), Jayson Tatum (+5.78), Klay Thompson (+5.78), John Stockton (+5.61), Joel Embiid (+5.59), Draymond Green (+5.56), Shaquille O’Neal (+5.36)

Super interesting mix of players here. Obviously, some great superstars aren’t here because as they’ve aged they’ve lost effectiveness, but highlights the insane longevity of the Spurs with Kawhi and Tim Duncan (Robinson was also on the list, but plus-minus isn’t available pre-1996 so I excluded him and other players), Curry, Klay, and Dray all together being incredible with Steph obviously being the GOAT plus-minus, and Tatum and Embiid being plus-minus gods their whole careers so far. Also Shaq, despite having some washed up seasons.

I feel like this info next to career W-L record starts to go in an interesting direction.

All I’m seeing is that Draymond is a top 10 player of all time

  3. Beavshak

There’s Tatum praise disguised here, and I for one am all in on it

I Think what I’m really noticing here is that most of these players were drafted into great organizations and great teams.

Don’t care Kim Kardashian is in possession of CP

Well is SOMEONE gonna post about it??

I’ll bet Stockton would have been higher if it went back another decade. I wonder what Magic and Bird would have looked like.

I really do not understand the point of posts like these. Plus-Minus is an absolutely awful stat to compare players so honestly why even put these?

Jeff Hornacek above all these guys. Legend

  10. LovetheNBA23

Most of these guys were drafted onto playoff teams in their rookie year.

Hmm. some of these men appear to have benefitted from the same games. Not sure

It’s crazy that steph is number one all time despite playing for some pretty awful teams to start his career and not even truly breaking out until year 5.

Actually surprised LeBron is not up there?

(Don’t know too much about advanced stats and all, but isn’t LeBron a huge boost to any team? Just that it doesn’t show up on +/-)

    Box plus minus

    Jordan 9.21

    Jokic 9.0

    Lebron 8.82…..

    Magic 7.54…. Robinson 7,47

    ….. Bird 6.59

  15. rational_numbers

Dray prob lower bc he played that busted season when Steph and Klay were out

Curry leading while dominating on one side of the court shows that hitting 3 pts consistently is game abuse. NBA should patch it so next generation players don’t just play to shoot in 3 pt line and stop defending at all.

+/- is one of the worst stats out there. It tells you nothing.
