Grayson Allen nails MSG game winner, while Giannis drops 37 and Bucks improve to 15-5

It wasn’t pretty but the Bucks got the job done against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 37 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, while Grayson Allen nailed a final minute game winner. Kane and Frank discuss those two performances, while also looking at the clunky offence overall and troubles on the glass. Also, is Khris Middleton set to return on Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers?

  1. Giannis again 1 pt/min…. lovin' it!

Ps I hope Kris has the same rehab doctors Brook used.

  2. We need Giannis taking threes this early in the playoffs. We need that. Also, I remember sat out against the Thunder and I think they lost that game. Go ahead and win those easy games. First this shows respect for other teams. Also it's an easy win. I see so many so called elite players sitting out against a really good opponent. So way try to win harder games but give up easier games? Doesn't make sense.

  3. Frank madden I enjoyed all your football takes. I’m a messi fan too. Watched football all my life and started watching basketball avidly like 5 years ago. Giannis made me fall in love with the sport and I have watched every game from then

  4. Great victory good practice for playoff time nobody had more than a 7 point lead the whole game Grayson allen this is why I come down so hard on this guy because I know he has the talent to play better & more consistent then he does hell of a ice water in the veins shot It would be nice if khris Middleton came back against the lakers

  5. Great grinding out game! I felt the 🇬🇷 energy from lots of fans at the garden loll

  6. I swear Frank is the thirstiest man alive. Man chugs that drink all 30 minutes.

  7. Giannis seems to be working on the weaknesses in his overall game 1st half, then locks into his strengths in 2nd for wins.

  8. The thing I'm most excited with Khristmas is that Brook Lopez clearly benefited from the time off. The team's staff did a great job preparing him. I argue that benefit has shown itself this season where you can argue it's Brook's best season as a Buck. Now, imagine how Khris could look on the floor. Incredibly exciting.

  9. I agree that Allen can be useful to this roster, he only needs to work on his defense, but the shot creation issue remains and Khris will not solve this entirely, he also has his limitations as a player (being inconsistent is one of them). I watch the Celtics and i don't think anyone in the east can beat them right now, amazing ball movement (thanks to Smart/Brogdon), a ton of shot creation, size and strength, coaching and finally great talent.
We really need a couple of key trades, it's not only about hard work etc, the game has evolved to a shooting contest so we need shooters that can also play defense. I'd say trade Nwora/Hill/Ibaka and let's get someone that can really help or in general do something.
    ✊🏀

  10. I've been trying to figure out why the Bucks are so erratic with their 3 pt shooting. It is no surprise Boston is doing so well as they are shooting almost 41% for the season from 3 leading the league in 3 pt percentage. At 17th the Bucks are so up and down it makes it hard to close games when players are tired and not as quick to challenge 3s. What really bothers me is if teams start to pack it into a zone. They have to take the shots to keep the defense honest, but long term if their overall percentage does not improve with Middleton returning I think they will struggle with teams who shoot a lot better than they do.

  11. Kane- do you think Marjon can guard some of the wings that give the bucks trouble like Tatum, derozan, KD or maybe to early to expect that in the playoffs ?

  12. My son and I listen to your podcast on the drive to his school in morning. He would like to know the lyrics on intro/theme song.

  13. We lead the whole game how wasn't it a pretty win🤔… Mistakes are apart of the game and when you learn from them that equals champions I sometimes hate listening to you guys talk you nit pick like crazy . . Like I said before remember when the bucks won 15 or 16 games?

  14. When Giannis was playing the Knicks knew to play defence on him, when he was on the bench they looked so lost on who to guard and how to play defence. This helped the Bucks in the end.

  15. The Bucks was lucky to win last night. The entire team, especially Giannis, didn't box out!
Giannis needs10-12 possessions posting up/backing down like Bobby Portis. He needs to prepare for the playoffs when the paint is close.
