[StatMuse] Bucks starting five have held opponents to 95.3 points every 100 possessions. That’s a better defensive rating than the 2003-04 Pistons.

  1. Better than the Pistons starters or the Pistons overall?

Damn if only they had a elite wing defender at the 3 as well……

Bucks defense is incredible. I can’t wait to see them matchup against our offense on Christmas Day.

  4. 1. This is raw defensive rating which doesn’t account for era (the 03-04 pistons were 7.49 points better than league average defensively, which is 4th all-time)

    2. Why tf would we compare a starting lineup to an entire team

  5. PearlsB4Swoon

I hate these stats that compare specific lineups over small sample sizes to an entire team over and entire season.

Like I made 2 3’s in a row at my lunch league, that 100% shooting stretch is better than Stephs career shooting % from deep!

But are they better than the 23’ pistons?

Defensive juggernaut. I imagine them like the deer with baseball bats standing around Peter from Family Guy when he goes hunting.

Their starting 5 is cold on both sides of the ball. And they’re gonna be replacing either Grayson or Carter with an all star in Mid.

Comparing lineup data to team data is a cardinal statistical sin in hoops
