It always amazes me that people/commentators whine how Vucevic doesn’t get the ball enough in the paint, but when he has a post up opportunity/dump pass near the basket, the motherfucker rather pass the ball out, instead of taking on the smaller guy. Let’s be honest, 98% of the time, Vuc is the biggest guy on the court in height and weight. The guy just doesn’t have the mentality of give me the ball and get out of my way. I’ve seen him get the ball against Steph Curry, who’s in foul trouble and just pass the ball. I’ve seen him get the ball with no double teams in sight, Vooch passes the ball out. I’ve seen him back down Wiggins all the way under the basket, Vuc won’t even attempt once to shoot in the paint. It’s ridiculous. I much rather see Vooch attempt 20-30 shot attempts in the paint every game than Zach Lavine shoot all these unnecessary deep fadeaway 3s or DeMar DeRozan triple-pump faking a defender who clearly isn’t biting.
