The Nets and Lakers are both 7-2 in their last 9 games. They started the season 1-5.

Too many people were counting out these 2 teams, especially like 10 games into the season. Nets are on a 4 game winning streak and just demolished a healthy Raptors team, and Lakers just upset The Bucks and have won 4/5 of their last games.

Don’t count them out yet.

the lakers are winning 70 games as far as i’m concerned

  2. Goop1995

Lakers haven’t even beaten anyone good tho

  3. floatersforalgernon

Nets vs Lakers final. r/nba explodes. Bring it in.

  4. kiwiwikikiwiwikikiwi

Meh this little run proves nothing.

The sub said LeBron and AD aren’t a proven duo to carry teams to wins anyways

  5. Starlord_who

Still don’t believe BRK at all. Just no chemistry and KD has to drop 40+ for them to beat rebuilding teams. Lakers can sneak in playoffs imo

  6. Nets lakers finals is already set I duno why the other teams are even trying anymore

  7. ChristianMan710

Had the hawks lost tonight we’d be the 5th seed right now too.

Good to turn things around although we likely getting bent over by the Celtics on Sunday

  8. SwishBreak

This subreddit and the Media running defense for Steve Nash when he was let go was truly a nasty agenda. Hopefully us dominating lately can put that narrative to rest

  9. RubbleWestbrick

Nets are somehow even more under the radar than the Lakers right now lol

They don’t have a big fanbase so there’s nobody to hype it up when they do well

For the Nets, it’s mostly us getting more continuity, KD playing like an MVP, and guys like Joe & Seth taking turns bailing out our bench offense. We’re getting a bit healthier, but guys are still moving in and out of lineups. Warren is back but Ben & Yuta are still out, and Sumner left the game with a contusion as well.

For Lakers AD is legitimately back to 2020 AD again. That’s massive. Coz that guy was in discussions with Giannis for best player on both ends of the floor. And he pretty much showed that tonight.

LeBron had 17 on 17 shots early in the 4th and it was AD who had gotten them the lead. Then Bron closed out. You give Bron a chance that late in the game, he can make something happen.

Beating the Bucks is definitely impressive considering LAL’s roster deficiencies. But the Bucks are still getting their legs under them. Definitely don’t count out the Lakers but let’s see how they perform in February when they meet a strong team again. For now, credit where it’s due

we better not fuck around on Sunday like we did tonight, I can feel a KD revenge game coming

  13. HeavenlyE

It’s time for people to stop overlooking the Lakers and admit they might make the play in

  14. I don’t think they’ll go past the first round, if they even make the playoffs. AD has been mostly the reason why Lakers are doing better now, especially defensively – and I’m pretty comfortable saying he will get hurt again before the ASG. either him or Lebron or both. The reality of this team hasn’t changed, in terms of their fitness, depth and defensive woes.

BUT, stranger things have happened i guess. if the Lakers can go further than i expected, great, I’ll happily eat my words.

Well both teams were bad last year and then started badly this year, what should people have thought? It’s not like the last 10 games discounts everything else

  16. sicholasLames

Lakers started 2-10, sounds much better.

  17. AestheticPenguinMan

Turns out October and November doesn’t determine how good your season is going to be

  18. Low-iq-haikou

Lakers have LeBron so I am never counting them out

Brooklyn…yeah I’m still counting them out

  19. Ricoh881227

And AD playing 70+ games is the real streak…

  20. MyTenderParts

let it be known, that we’re back up 😈

  21. fullmoon223

I never counted them out. It’s still early in the season and anything can happen.

  22. DavidPriceIsRight

Yes and my teams the mavs are like 0-47 in their last 47 games 😭

  23. MrNacho001

It’s not just because of the beginning of the season, last season the lakers didn’t even make the playoffs

  24. yngwiegiles

They can both be decent teams as long as AD stays healthy and an aging KD doesn’t wear down playing 40 minutes a night. Good luck w that

  25. busche916

Both those 7-2 stretches contain a loss to the Pacers. The science here is clear

  26. rnbamodshavenobrain

You can freely count them out. This guy has no flair and is probably a Laker.

  27. AD is playing great, but he has to stay healthy for this to continue. 9 games isn’t enough to convince he wont end up as mr Street Clothes come playoff time…
