What's Wrong With The Toronto Raptors?

I will be having an honest conversation about the Toronto Raptors and they’re recent struggles. This wont be your usual video as I will be taking a look at a different approach and different view on sports but also players as well.

  1. I really hope this perspective reaches more fans, sports is suppose to be fun and enjoyed as entertainment but its become more than that where we feel the need to criticize every little play a player makes, there is so much more to life, go for a walk, spend time with family, I will not be making videos after every single game as that is just reacting to recency bias, instead I will be making videos after every few games and discuss that and the performance of the Raptors and the players. I hope you enjoyed this video!

  2. The Raptors need Victor Wembanyama I would love to see Toronto Tank it up this year.Scottie is a good Robin but the raptors do need a batman .

  3. NN is a good coach and glad we got him but has this teams halfcourt offense even slightly improved over the past few seasons? This teams defense is now predictable we double the star they swing swing pass for open 3's. Winning possession battles for wins works in the regular season but in playoffs that doesn't work and without a halfcourt offense this team will only be a good regular season team and that needs to fall on NN.

  4. I wonder when people are going to see that Fred is not a real pg. He can't throw alley oops, he can't attack the net, he is way slower defensively than he was a few years ago. He relies on a jumpshot and gets us to slow starts every game as he is a ball stopper. It's not a Nurse issue.

  5. Fantastic perspective Waraich! Thank you sir!
Hard time are too hard to endure sometimes for fans! You are rightđź’Ż, we need to cut them slack for sure and walk with them through this rough patch!
Frustrations and heartbreak does not allow us to become coaches from the coach!
I believe and trust this organization from the front office right through the main squad down through the equally struggling 905.
    GO RAPTORs

  6. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism of the team. I am a fan who enjoys analysis, so I disagree with you, that I should be pigeon-holed into becoming just a cheer-leader for the team. However, I think many fans are getting too emotional lately, and losing their objectivity. Nurse is a great coach, but the team has had many key injuries, very little time at home, to practice, and an exhausting schedule. Nurse, also has a roster with 3 very ball dominant players, so that limits what he can do.

  7. I think he should have brought in Gary Trent jr earlier in the first quarter when it was obvious koloko starting was not working against the nets unit. Playing Fred taking bad shots have a chat with him perhaps
    .

  8. Fred is all talk….. he bricks 8 3's a night taking selfish shots and then talks about getting his shit together. Fred too focused on getting his next bag to help the team win.

  9. Our fans have serious emotional highs and lows from game to game. It's an 82 game season for a reason. For a team without a superstar on it, we are still doing pretty well. I expect this squad to finish 4-6 and make a playoff push. I also expect them to make some moves at the trade deadline to make the money make sense in the next couple of years to come. So let's see how the season plays out.

  10. Here's the deal… this team was not constructed to be an offensive juggernaut. We have a bunch of lanky guys who can get deflections, turn the ball over at times and get buckets on the fast break. If that is not happening then we don't have a half cout game to fall back on.
Raps allowed four 40-point quarters in the four most recent lossses. This would be difficult for any other top-tier team to come back from let alone the Raps. I'm sure Nick sees this and will be talking aboutj it before the ORL game.
@The Waraich Report is absolutely right. We need to go thru adversity to truly appreciate success. No one is going to learn much from winning if there is no struggle to compare it with. Fans come in all shapes and sizes but true ones understand real value of the journey.
Would really appreciate a shoutout so more viewers can see this comment. Thanks 🙂

  11. Great explanation of why fans should not be calling for trades and firings. Criticism is warranted but the criticism should be constructive.

As a team, they are allowing too many open 3s and drives. Rebounding can be way better. More man to man then doubling is required especially early in the opposing teams possession. If you are truly good defensively you should generate more shot clock violations or forced turnovers by steals or ball going out of bounds.

Games that we lose are opportunities to evolve. Better to fix these issues early in the season. There's still 60 more games to go and we are still in the playoff hunt.

  12. Garry & Fred & 2nd rounder before they ask for $25 to $30 million per year for shai & player to be named.

  13. As I've said before, Nick Nurse has gone mad with power. He's jus too stubborn now. His defensive scheme of constant ball pressure regardless of who's handling the ball is failing. It's wearing down his players and they are getting frustrated. Durant called it out in his media session, OKC's head coach explained it in his media session too. As far as Scottie goes, the refs have completely taken the fun outta Basketball for him, at least that what I see out there.
