Today I reacted to KOC’s latest 2022 NBA redraft article. In the article, he had the Detroit Pistons passing on Jaden Ivey and drafting Shaedon Sharpe Instead.

I always thought the golden rule of the NBA draft was "Draft for talent, not for need.". We witnessed Dumars breaking that rule picking Darko over Melo. "We have Tayshaun Prince" was what Dumars said regarding the pick. Ivey was the "Talent" pick, while Sharpe would have been the "Need" pick. I don't think Troy Weaver would change his pick.
No Detroit shouldn't have drafted Sharpe. Ivey is still better. Sharpe is not in the same role. Ivey is not a PG. At best he's a combo guard. Ivey has even said himself he's not PG. So I just disagree with that re draft.
Ivey > Sharpe. Other people can hate on the Pistons all they want but the Pistons still drafted the right guy.
If Ivey was taken i think the pistons would have taken Bennedict Mathurin even over Sharpe.
I was high on benidect mathurin and everyone laughed at me lol 💯
