Today should be a game we use to buikd confidence and get back on track. I am expecting is to blow out the magic. Any short of that after 2 garbage performances is unacceptable. Lets win tonight!!!!!!!!!!
When Vanvleet isn't shooting well he's too often a net negative because I don't feel like he's a natural PG and the ball movement just isn't there…when you look at the best PGs in the game, they don't need to score to have an impact, look at Lowry, he could effect the game in other ways when his shots weren't falling by setting other players up and pushing the ball up the court…when your point guard can't do that at a high level it affects everyone else and you saw that last night. For all of Scottie's faults, he's a natural PG, he can push the ball up the court, he can draw defenders and kick it out, he can find open guys and he makes everyone around him better even when he's not putting up big numbers but Nurse insists on sticking with Fred as the primary ball handler even on a night when it's clearly not working for them…he benched Scottie for poor play, he put GTJ on the bench but yet Fred seems to be immune to criticism from Nick Nurse….Scottie hasn't been great and he does need to change his attitude but he's young, and he's still trying to learn how to be a professional, BUT Fred and Siakam are the vets, they need to step it up and figure it out! I love Fred and I don't mean to shit on him but man…he has to learn how to become a better playmaker/facilitator and not chuck up horrible shots.
