    Isn’t this old news? Pretty sure he already said the same concept of this on JJ Redicks Podcast a while back.

    feels like something that sounds worse when it’s ripped from the context of the rest of the pod, but I haven’t listened to it. very “we are the Washington Wizards, Bruh” if true.

  3. Admire his honesty, but it confirms that the Wiz paid the highest allowable salary against no other serious bidders – this is not responsible cap management to build a contending team

    I mean it could’ve been a sign and trade. But still hilarious that the wizards literally did not negotiate at all, just gave him everything he asked for even though he didn’t really have any leverage.

    And this is why it will be Beal’s team for the next few years & he can basically do what he wants to get whatever he’d like to.

    And that’s why the Wizards are extremely likely to stay mediocre for a long, long time.

    If you want the money come to DC, if you want to win, don’t come, unless you really need that money.
