The 2 rim protectors really hurt his scoring but absolutely offered him endless drop offs
BombshellExpose
Today was one of those games where he shouldn’t have been in the closing lineup in the 4th because of his bad scoring, but his playmaking continues to drive the Lakers whenever Bron sits. I’m leaning way more to a Bev+Nunn trade. Idk how the offense would function without Russ and LeBron sitting
boneappleteata
He played terrible today are we really gonna do appreciation posts for every mid game he has
RevolutionaryLeg8526
he got his centers paid before because of his playmaking.

Russ is not an efficient scorer at this stage. But he pushes pace and makes the game much easier for both Bron and AD. He has been dropping dimes to each of them every game plus carrying the offensive playmaking when Lebron sits.
Character_Safety_519
He’s become very valuable to us as a playmaker. I still don’t think he brings $47M of production but I would be hesitant to trade him, his energy and passing are so fundamental to this team
litlegoblinjr
I feel like Russ is starting to fill in that Rondo role where he knows where to feed AD

I really hate OP and posts like this. What’s the point? It’s like you can’t help but insult. Tripping over yourself to find a way. Praising him in one breathe then insulting in another. It makes no sense.

Y’all really care too much about assists when it’s an overrated statistic. All Brick was doing was going to the basket and just handing it to AD so he could dunk it.

These posts are nuts, he still needs to be traded and had no business closing the game out, along with two other guards. What’s brought back in a trade is such a massive addition, while his playmaking can be supplemented with bron, reaves, what guard is leftover from a deal and whoever is brought back – especially in the playoffs. The playoffs are a different game, the D tightens up and we have seen Russ not be a winning player time and time again. We cannot waste an AD year like this and while Bron is still playing at a high level. In the playoffs, the ball is going to be in Bron or AD’s hands, and Russ is not good off ball. Trade him and lets be a real contender
the_far_yard
He became a pass-first PG with the potential to be explosive to finish it at the rim, and you combine this with the PnR game Lakers are running, alongside with AD moving off the ball the way he is doing it right now- LETHAL.

This and the Bucks game have really shown how unstoppable AD is when hes being fed perfect pocket passes by Russ and Bron. Absolute domination

Westbrook building that trade value…or lowering the trade asking price..
dawnoog
Those 15 assists are all I ever wanted from him
chemguy112
i even think his interior passing is rubbing off on lebron. I could be wrong, i didn’t rly watch lakers in 2019-20 but i don’t recall lebron frequently doing that bounce pass on PnR like he did today.

Beastbrook really changed his game around and making his teammates better. Love him on the bench and his play all around!
Complex_Jellyfish647
Imagine how good he would be if he weren’t getting paid 5x what he’s worth

His job isn’t to score

Im still recovering from that AD performance but damn, Seeing Bestbrook thrive in his new role is a great storyline. Ham is doing something that i hope will get rewarded beautifully.
Purple_Expert822
I’m so glad to see Westbrook getting his game back. If AD can last the rest of the season the Lakers will be hard to beat.
MazKhan
If we can bring him back on a team friendly deal, what would a fair contract be?(assuming we don’t trade him)
sp00kymage
Keep russ. Get more big men who can shoot. We won a ring going big.
GlassOnion25
If the result is a win and he’s contributing in some way (this being assists) then idc if he isn’t scoring. He’s making plays setting up AD. All u can ask for. Buying into the role beautifully
ablackcloudupahead
He was dropping assists to everyone. That pass to Lonnie was clean
