The New Orleans Pelicans currently boast a 17-8 record. Which is good for the best record in the Western Conference as of December 10th! We always saw foreshadowing of how good this Pelicans team could be, especially after trading for CJ McCollum at last years deadline, and then going on a magical playoff run after starting the season 1-12. The only thing left for the Pelicans to do was to plug in Zion Williamson and hope he could be the final piece of the puzzle. And safe to say, he is. As Zion once again looks dominate in what should be his second All-Star season. But I’d be lying if I said Zion was the entire reason behind the Pelicans early success. So let’s discuss how we got here, and what the Pelicans have done so well to start this season!
