Analysts are required to make takes at that point in time. The celtics were bad middle of last season, and it was proper to call them out. Zion was fat. Teams change, people improve. It is sooo easy for youtube creators and sports analysts to dissect old takes with new improved assessments, because hindsight is 20/20. We all love someone rising above old criticism. No one cares about Skal Labissiere or Thon Maker never panning out. They care about Zion succeeding.

That showed him, or at least showed his family, not to believe the hype and his own press. Zion isn't the type of superstar that is going to singlehandedly carry his team to greatness but can do it other superstars. He very much fits the LeBron and KD mold. Has all the hype and coverage of a one man army but needs better players than him without the hype machine to actually win a title. Also, how is Joel Embiid a sure fire hall of famer off of a few good to great years? He's great but I wouldn't start editing his induction video quite yet.
