  1. I know Uconn was shorthanded, BUT still a major win for the Maryland program. They were on a roll from three and held Conn off, congratulations to them.

  2. Honestly I’m not mad at this loss for UCONN . Maryland is a good and tough playing team and for UCONN to lose such crucial players, they did pretty good. Getting Ines those minutes builds her confidence that she needs and soon she’ll be rocking the floor like Muhl does.

  3. Edwards is still the rock for UCONN. Maryland scouting on Lou for offensive fouls was on point, made a huge difference. Easier to hit outside 3pt shots when there are slower/ bigger guards or forwards defending you on the perimeter. Glad Ducharme got her offense going a bit, but her defense wasn't quite there. This is a deep bench experience building period for UCONN… were the bench is going up against the other teams experienced starters. Even massively shorthanded, UCONN is still a hard team to beat. Get well soon Nika and Dorka.

  4. tough times for uconn but i'm hopeful this team has the potential to be number one when the players injured are healthy.

  5. Griffin is a huge problem for the team.
Against N.D – played like someone who should be riding the bench on a junior college basketball team somewhere.
Against Princeton – played like the MVP of the WNBA All-Star Game.
Against Maryland – starting with her first touch in the first quarter looked like "what is this round thing in my hand?" Why am I here?" Looked like someone who had just walked on the basketball court for the first time in her life. Passed up open shot after open shot, constantly hesitated before shooting, then fired up a brick time after time. Needs to get with the program. I think Gino needs to put a boot about halfway up her you know what. Maybe that would motivate her. If I only had five players I still wouldn't let her start the game, I'd make her sit on the bench for the first 5 minutes. She seems very uncomfortable as a starter and more useful as a role player coming off the bench. She is a junior by now she should have her shit together, but obviously doesn't.

  6. UCONN had injuries, but Maryland also had at least 3 players out for this game. I think UCONN is and has always been the best team in Women's college history, but Gino and his players sometimes seem to take some teams for granted. Maryland just outplayed the Huskies in this game.

  7. I counted at least 10 foul calls on UConn that weren't fouls, while Maryland was able to mug people the entire game with no fouls. sad.

  8. Congrats to the Terps…a win is a win but, Good Lord, along with Geno, I am proud of the way Uconn's injury decimated team played!! Remember, a healthy Uconn starts only 1 of today's 5 starters, (Aaliyah Edwards). Uconn has 70+ points sitting on the bench, injured.
Even without Paige & Ice this season, the return of healthy Azzi, Nika & Dorka spells major trouble for all their opponents from that point forward.

  9. Uconn still managed to play despite most of them are bemch players whose previously play in couple minutes only and because of this they were looked tired, but the game must go on. You can tell that they do not have enough practice who will be the 2nd baller when Lou had foul trouble. Get well soon to Dorka, Mika & Azzi

  10. Yeah this is a very slow and a turnover prone team , they turn the ball over entirely to much which is why the two losses, Gino's recruiting has definitely has not been good for the last few years big slow girls are that freshman guard is garbage, hopefully they get their main starters back real soon because they are going to lose more than this.

  11. Cut out the excuses. When UCONN is running the lessor talent of the Big East off the floor with their 5 star recruits it’s all rah rah yay time and UCONN is the second coming of the UCLA. I’m all for perspective but stop the whining!!!
