Definitely over hyped this year
Scottie Barnes looks awful
They are having internal issues. Some people have to go. Starting with fred the leaker and his buddy, hit piece writer, Michael grange.
Prioritize development. Shop Fred and Pascal.
Before considering a fire sale, they need to change the coach. Looks like he's already lost Barnes and Trent, soon he will lose the entire room. Get rid of him asap
They are missing too much to acquire. They need a solid starting center and a solid backup guard. That's just to compete in the playoffs, not be a favourite. Time to blow it up. Siakam is playing great but his value is also at an all time high. Fred is garbage and will continue to be garbage. Product of the system, luck and a good run of play. He's never going to be the player people thought he was again. Keep OG, Barnes (hopefully he figures it out) Precious, and Gary if they think he will stay. Blow everything else up for young, high potential players and picks. Put Nurse on notice too because he's been shit as well.
Look if Raps are not ever going to extend GTjr then move him now. Also Fred is a money spot up shooter but someone has to run this thing. Fred earned his streaky performance money helping to secure a chip but this has to be Scottie's team not Fred's. I would clietly shop and ship out Fred and GTjr. even if it means best case scenario is a play in.
Stop hating on the team. Most teams are struggling just check the standings

Luca, I would like to know what is really going on with Scottie Barnes. Is he hurt? He seems really reluctant to get aggressively into games. Is it his head space, personal problems. Somethings wrong. Is it NN , is his relationship with him shaky. His body language is giving him away big time. He is definitely not himself . He is not having fun. Is it the locker room ? Are the players not getting along? Anyway Masai is going to have shake things up in someway to bring the energy out in these guys. Has NN lost the room ? Let me know guys what you think!

I mean… Basketball is a zero-sum game there will always be a winner and loser. The league is stronger than its ever been everyone is good even the "bad" teams
The good teams have multiple star level players but even most of the the "bad" teams have at least one star caliber player. You have to be able to do so much just to even make a roster now due to everyone having access to high level training tools from earlier ages, AAU/Basketball academies, and increased competition from the rising international market. And don't forget the growth of the G League for even better player development
The league honestly needs two more teams its waaaay too stacked. 32 is a perfect number

Last season we were good in rebounding especially offensive rebound and our defense are good it compensate the lack of a steady scorer. Those strenght last year is no show this year. And we are loucky last year Clevland and Hawks are injured most of last year but this year several eastern team upgraded their line up thats why we were in 5th place. This year I doubt will not make playoff. And Nurse is also part of the problem he uses players who underachiever giving so much mins. like koloko, is now starting the game, I was happy about it but he was given only first 5 mins and replace by young and birch give koloko enough time this early season so by march he is well verse of the team…that is no to Nurse..he more relaying the veteran Young..man he is 34 and his playing time is number if we rely to young and not give our rc we are in trouble

NN and Fred need to go i was saying this last year. Raptors will not go anywhere if this was not traded. This will be Scottie team but he seems not happy
This might be the time to start some trades. I know every raptors fan including me want the core to stay but it’s just not working out for the team. If they can trade Fred and Gary for a solid center and a point guard. The raptors can be back in a familiar place.

Siakam ain't him. we need a Superstar #1 option. Siakam is and will always be a #2. Not blaming Siakam for our issues just telling it how it is. Main problems include: Fred shooting like trash, Scottie playing like a bust, Nurse not playing the bench at all, and Masai refusing to make trades while all the other teams around us get better.
This falls on Masai and Bobby. It’s a shooters league. How do these players not put the ball in the hoop is beyond me
Fred and his dad, Nick can only be traded as a package. Its a sweet relationship with unconditional loyalty. Just ask Banton, Malaki, and Dowtin … they will agree.

@luca rosano have you considered the possibiity this team overachieved last year playing covid ridden teams? its not like this team was a good 3 pt shooting team last year either. the main problem i see is nurse is playing starters heavy minutes again, and its gonna achieve the same result at playoffs with worn out or injured starters. they are not getting past 1st round and this team is 6th seed at best.
@luca rosano i also think fred should have had surgery in off season and its likely what is bothering him playing heavy minutes.

They cant hit the lake standing in front of it. And it was a matter of time before the yearly OG getting hurt…and our point guard is short can’t finish at the rim so him can’t shoot is going to go well.

this team has players always hurt in and out of lineup. No pure shooters on this team, Nick Nurse has no trust in his bench, when starters were out the bench played well. Playing hard defensively in order to win when you have poor offence will burn you out.

Raptors have no backup PG. Well at least one they actually play. The second game vs Orlando we played one guard off the bench……Banton for a whopping 7min. Lol! The guy off the bench were bigs……Birch, Thad, Boucher. Lmao
Fred the last 10 games is shooting 33/22/85. That is disgusting…….but he's been bad since February.
