raptors need to get back to good fundamental, play with more speed and spacing. they are quite predicable. need to trade fred, gary, siakam while they still have good value
Keep Pascal, OG, Chris, Bo Cruz, Young, Birch, Dowtin, and get rid of the rest.
I am so disappointed I am rethinking about what if we have made the move for KD to join Pascal and OG, this could have been deadly contenders. Or may be bring back Demar Derozan. In this current situation I think signing Otto Porter Jr was a mistake; and letting go DJ Wilson was also a mistake.
On a team level, baaad. On an individual level, worse. Yea they competed the first half defensively but shit this offense is broke it’s non existent. I don’t know if Nick only knows a 3 man weave or if the players think they’re the 90s bulls but they’re looking like Phil’s knicks. At least they had a superstar to justify all the iso. I agree 100%. I’ve been upset for years that we struggled with free throws which every shot is a gimmy. When I see a free throw miss I get upset. Our 3 attempts have been a complete waste like they just want to throw the ball away giving the other teams a rebound.
And then there’s this new problem this year which has been annoying me. Our defense has been full of holes. Other teams are getting their second and third rebound attempts easily. Do we have a new defensive co-ordinator? Are we learning a new system? Does the team have Covid? Is the “brotherhood” in the dressing room fighting? Something is wrong that we can’t see.
I agree that Scottie shooting too much. Like all these step back fades shit he can’t hit the open jumpers. I agree set screens. Cut. Find the open spot. He was doing it his rookie season but I really think it was because nurse wasn’t trying to get him to do something he was just playing out there instinctually. Which created scrambles and opportunity for passing it expanded his game. He looks like a PF being told to play point
Without OG we ain't winning simple as that. He is our #2 scoring option and our #1 defender, when he comes back feed him the damn ball or this team is going nowhere. No more seniority ball, FVV is not #2 option. I am speechless, only up from here else just tank. I don't care anymore. I don't know how you can make or ask for more money playing a child's game and can't put a ball in a hoop. If we don't see good results this year, I expect Masai to bring out the guillotine. I am not willing to witness a regression after Tampa especially losing to a bottom tier team. I rather see us go winless against the best teams than this. We might be near .500 as them "optimists" would love to say, but if you actually watch the games, making the playoffs right now is a waste of time. Don't waste my time, I ain't getting paid millions. The foot is off the gas pedal motherfuckers don't want it right now. Pascal is a leader by example but not vocally and Fred is just in it for himself and same with Gary Trent. Scottie is just lost in all of this with so much raw potential that's unfocused.
Personally I think gt.jr needs to go. We've given him everything and he's a fat cat right now.
Well, Webster and Masai you have to fire NN because it is been almost 3 years and he has not made adjustments and adapted since 2020. I knew he is the root of the problem because remember last season's playoffs they got humiliated by losing almost 40 points in game 6 to end their season and look what happens in the regular season right now too many ISO, no ball movement, no spacing, too much standing around, poor shooting, too many open threes for the opponent and no rim protection. The whole system is flawed including the roster construction. Also, the management is responsible and to blame for poor roster construction. The changes start with the head coach and the assistant coaches. Then, trade VV, GTJ, Flynn, plus 1st round pick, 2nd round pick and get the team a real point guard and a Centre. What happened to Rico Hines helping the team develop their shooting? The Raptors are a poor shooting team as well as bad at defence.

I so agree with you Chev. It feels as tho the spark is missing , the will to fight is gone. It's definitely a head scratcher. Who knows, maybe they'll snap out of it. Time will tell.

I am officially tired of the Raptors entitled champion attitute this team uses with the media. You should never forget these losses, it should haunt your life until you work to redeem it. I couldn't believe it. Everything was right. Except the crazy whistle blowing which is always a problem. Defense was pretty good especially 2nd quarter. But nothing was going in man. Crazy just crazy
