  1. That leads to us to one of Brooklyn main priorities which is getting a center by the trade deadline. Two guys have been very connected to Brooklyn which is John Collins and Mo Bamba.

Collins is a very intriguing player for Brooklyn given the fact he can play power forward and center. That type of versatility gives Brooklyn flexibility with rotations and matchups. More importantly having Yuta Watanabe and TJ Warren off the bench has allowed Brooklyn to roll out bigger lineups with KD Claxton and Ben Simmons.

If Brooklyn gets Collins they could roll out a full lengthy rotation of possibly Kevin Durant Ben Simmons John Collins nic Claxton and TJ Warren.

More importantly Collins can rebound, share the offensive burden with KD and Kyrie and can knock the three down.

Unfortunately Brooklyn would have to part with Joe Harris and another young prospect to get it done which is something Brooklyn has to weigh .

  2. Now Mo Bamba on the other hand could be a long term investment that helps Brooklyn in the future.

Mo Bamba is a young prospect with good blocking and rebounding skills. His offense though still has layers to improve upon.

Having Mo Bamba off the bench could help Brooklyn with improving their rebounding and blocking even more. More importantly Mo Bamba gives Ben Simmons a stretch five that could unlock Simmons offense more and increase the defense.

Mo Bamba wouldn't require Brooklyn parting with major depth and a combo of Claxton and Mo Bamba could take Brooklyn to another level potentially.

  3. I think Brooklyn main goals as a whole with this trade deadline and possibly the buyout market is trying to aquire players who can defend well and add to the depth of Brooklyn.

  4. I would rather trade for Mo Bamba, he would know his role and help defend the bigs, in all honesty I would bring back Drummond if anything, either way..we do need at least one big…thoughts?

  5. I think if the Nets could focus on pursuing a young "legit" center (7'0', 230 + lbs) and not be distracted by glittery, shiny players that become available, they'll would be better off. Collins is not a center and what's worst is he's injured. We have more than enough injured players, with extensive histories, on the roster. We shouldn't add to it. The players the Nets would have to give up to get Collins would, probably, change the chemistry of the team, which is improving, for the worst. I'm sure Joe Tsai isn't interested in adding to the Nets luxury tax tab for any more high priced players, especially injured ones, anytime in the near future.

  6. I think the Nets will pass on John Collins and trade Kyrie Irving, Royce O’Neale, David Duke Jr., a 2023 1st-rounder (via 76ers) and a 2024 1st-rounder to the Lakers for LeBron James and Russet Westbrook, so LeBron, Russell and Kevin Durant will form Brooklyn’s “Big Three” and help the Nets bring the championship back to Brooklyn.

  7. No thanks! JC is not a good defender and doesnt fit this teams interests

  8. The problems are just effort and fundamentals with rebounding and defense. I need kd and clax to avg 10+ boards, and I know they can.
Irving had 11 boards, one game at 6'2.. how many double-digit rebounding games has kd had this season @ 7ft??

  9. No…what they are getting for what they would have to give up just isn’t worth it. Same goes for Myles Turner. I’m not sure there’s anyone out there that they could realistically get that would change their chances of a championship. They have a good group right now that is building chemistry by the day, and imo they should let that play out. Use their draft pick come spring to get the best player to fill their need. Continue to develop Claxton and DayRon.

  10. how about Jarred Vanderbilt?? his built is close to collins. he can add length to nets small ball lineup.

  11. If we not trading for kuzma or anunoby or a stretch 5 then we shouldn’t be trading players at all

  12. We don’t need Collins are team is fine we don’t need him. Let’s just get a low end big man with a little girth old vet. Who can guard we don’t need 3 point center just one that can guard embid , Giannis

  13. I think he can play the 5, because of our defensive scheme and his ability to play with Ben. His talent was diminished with capella on the court.

  14. The mere fact you guys wouldn’t trade joe harris for John collins shows again and again y’all don’t know nothing about basketball ! It’s not a GM in the league that likes Joe harris but y’all do! You guys don’t even read the news because Nick name has never came up only Joe but to avoid talking about that bum you use nick as a diversion and the money doesn’t even add up

  15. It’s sad how you two guys are misleading the fans knowing nick name never came up, and you purposely left out the fact they said Harris and Cam and that the Hawks don’t want Harris under any circumstance! This was a very dangerous misleading podcast all to protect Joe Harris who stinks ! Mention the fact that no team in the nba wants joe harris who has a horrible contract and a atrocious defender

  16. Most stupid podcast you guys ever made…..should have talked about what are our best center options……

  17. I wouldn’t give up on this team chemistry. J.c is low key not worth it. He’s not playing and Hawks not losing sleep.

  18. I wouldn’t mind it but according to the numbers y’all said, the team plays better defense when there’s a good Center beside him. so if we had to give up Claxton for him. no deal. Probably be a three-way trade

  19. If we ever trade Joe Harris, whatever player we get (regardless of the position they play) it has to be a player that some ability to shoot even if its mid-tier

  20. Y’all should do a video on Mo Bamba. He is perfect for Brooklyn. Last season averaged 10 points, 8.1 rebounds a game. And is a threat from 3. The big 3 would elevate those stats. Also they can use the old trailing play Dallas did with dirk.

  21. I second Gabb815 on Mo Bamba. He is exactly the type of low risk high reward backup center prospect the Nets should go hard for.

John Collins trade is a day late and short at this part. His contract and what the Nets need are not a fit. He isn’t the defensive guy he used to be. The only thing he does do is keep KD as a wing rather than a Power Forward which is a positive.

  22. Having player biases like Adam has with Claxton is exactly what is holding this team back from having a dominant big man rebounding center
