Interesting post-game interview from Herro

It sounds like he’s buying into Spo’s current experiment. He said he’s being encouraged to be a catch-and-shoot guy then being allowed to take charge of the second unit. And he also threw in, he does whatever it takes including him playmaking? I’m liking it.

Hope someone can grab a screen recording/tweet or whatever of it.

Yeah Spo takes him out early and is bringing to run the second unit.

  2. My favorite part of that interview was when he nearly broke his professional humble interview character “obviously I’m lethal off the dribble but I’m working on the catch and shoot game”

But but I was told Herro is the problem and the cancer of the team!

He’s been so good recently. Playmaking has stepped up in the last 15 games a lot. Now working on his off ball game, being unlocked playing alongside another dynamic guard in Oladipo.

P.S. The PSG was removed lol.

Only thing I want is better execution and to run stuff more consistently

He is such a lethal shooter I love how many 3s he is taking and the fact he takes more middys with the bench unit is perfect gameplanning!!

  7. Unrelated to OP’s (valid) point but have you seen the annoyed face he did when Eric Reid started his conclusion like he thought he was going to have to answer another question? I was like “come on, we’re celebrating your great game, stick with us for 10 more seconds!”

Didn’t watch the second half of the game but I liked seeing him play so much off the ball in the first half. He’s too elite of a catch and shoot guy to barely do it and that fits more with jimmy and bam.

Playing him less on the ball and more with the bench is definitely a great change moving forward, if they commit to it.

I’ve been really impressed with the play making for others. They said on a pod that Calipari wouldn’t even let him pass at Kentucky, he was so bad…only shooting.
I think they’re just scratching the surface with Tyler
