CJ is such a fucking ball hog man. I don’t care if he’s hitting his shots or not. He’s going to shoot the clutch shots and most of the time he’s going to miss or do something stupid. The fact that Willie isn’t making it an absolute priority to get Zion taking these shots is very concerning.
Didn’t help that Utah got literally every single 50/50 ball and call either. Just need to learn from these two games and move the fuck on.

Was only able to catch the 4th quarter of this one, but from what I saw, Zion looked gassed. Very slow bringing the ball up, passing out before even trying to drive, and looking sluggish when trying to penetrate the defense. Overall, outside of CJ, the team seemed to lacked energy. I’m going to chalk it up to a bad matchup and injuries finally piling up, but we’ve got to finish the year looking stronger than we have against the Jazz.

Refs were complete shit. There’s no scenario where the other team has about 20 more 3 attempts and more free throws. Zion should never have 8FTA on that many shots.
CJ had a nice box score game I guess? Guy just rarely puts full games together. Idk what to even think about him anymore.

Pelicans have a weird issue at the C position.
Nance is in = a lot of rebounds given up, but Willie and the coaching staff don’t have faith in Jonas in a lot of these matchups to stay out there, who is a good rebounder but struggles on the aspects that Nance is good at. Jonas has been underplayed majority of the year and Nance is being overplayed. Either trust Jonas and live with it, or trade for another big.

How does a team shoot 50 3s and get 40 free throws? Like all I want is consistency. If you are going to call soft fouls call them on both ends. The no calls on Zion took the aggression out of him and teams have figured out that they won’t get most calls on Zion so they keep swiping and slapping him. I’ll say it, CJ really hurts to watch man. Yea he put up 28, but dude was 11-25 and those last sequences where he dribbled for 15 seconds and then took and dumbass 3 was just it for me.
Between that and his infamous pull up 3 with 20 seconds on the shot clock that he does at least 2-3 times a game, I’m really starting to hope Willie stops giving him the green light when everyone is healthy.

Pels are a good team and deserve better than the chicken-littles doom-and-glooming in this thread. This time last year, the Pels were 9-21 and there was less whining and moaning. Utah is a good team. The West is a tough conference. Pels have to be better. Keys: Pels need to improve 3pt defense and 3pt shooting. Key down the stretch. Z’s defense has improved, it still needs more work. BI comes back for spacing. Jose comes back for energy. Kira comes back to take some of the load off of CJ AND Jose.
