[Weitzman] Harden and Durant, according to multiple Nets sources, butted heads during the season – Durant didn’t think Harden was in peak physical shape, and told him as much.

Yeah well nobody thought James was in peak physical shape lmao

Written by Yaron Weitzman who knows 76ers very well. He occasionally records episodes for the best titled podcast in all of basketball Weitzman Can’t Jump.

Totally makes sense. Harden wanted to coast to a ring, he didn’t want to put in crazy work other than game night.

He probably didn’t like answering to a leader like KD who is brutally honest with his assessment of teammates. When he talks about how he wanted structure from the staff I bet he’s referring to how KD runs the show and he didn’t want to take orders from him.

Made a critical mistake by reading the comments lol.

Fuck that sub and fuck James harden. To answer his question at the end.. **yes, you’re still a quitter.**

Just a lot of strange, false narratives —from people that certainly haven’t watch Nets’ basketball — getting upvoted in that thread.

Either way, I’m tired of revisiting that time. Injuries, timing, a pandemic, Kyrie, Harden, whatever you wanna blame, it doesn’t matter anymore

  6. And FYI for the non-Nets fans here – it’s entirely possible to be mad at both Harden AND Kyrie.

    So done with the whataboutism.

What people don’t seem to understand is that Harden never wanted to be here. Sean Marks got swindled because Kyrie and to a lesser extent KD pressured him to make the trade. Kyrie came out and said outright that the roster was not a championship contender in a press conference if anyone remembers that.

Harden was given a choice between Philadelphia and Brooklyn but Fertitta would have never traded him to Philly because of the bad blood with Morey. So Harden chose Brooklyn because he thought he could get an easy ring and then move on to Philadelphia to be with Morey who let him do whatever he wanted in Houston including partying late during game nights. He was never getting that kind of leeway in Brooklyn and he was never going to be the #1 who the franchise caters to with KD and Kyrie on the roster.

Even PJ Tucker in his introductory press conference came out and said that they both were trying to get to Philadelphia as soon as possible. Why do you think he played on one leg against Milwaukee? Why do you think he refused to sign the extension? Not because of Kyrie or any of that bullshit. He wanted to go be with his buddy Morey but in the meantime try to get an easy ring so his legacy will be set. Harden is a snake who led on this franchise with no intentions of being here for the long term. Thats why he quit at the first sign of trouble. That’s the bottom line.

  8. Nba sub hates KD lmfao this as an isolated statement makes sense but everything in those comments bring up kyrie or how kd missed time. I just want to win a championship so bad and raid that sub full of losers.

  9. Harden skipped rehab to party in Houston and reinjured his hamstring because of it. He then showed up fat the next season. I respect him for playing through injury but he chose partying over rehab and it cost him and this franchise at least one ring
