Nate McMillan on the start of the 3Q: “we came up third quarter and probably that was our worst quarter. Started off with four turnovers, a couple of them, we’ve just been sloppy with the basketball. We had a couple travels where guys was hesitating on their shot.”

On Bogi starting tonight: “I just wanted to add some know-how out there. With all the injuries, we’ve been playing our young guys, I’ve been bringing Bogi off the bench to try to keep some balance…the restriction was taken off for him and just felt like I needed to put some know how out there in that starting lineup.”

Trae Young on their fast start: “it was important for us come out and have a fast start. Obviously we didn’t we didn’t start the way we went to last game but this is a new game and a new chance for us to come out and play better so I’m glad we did.”

On the Hornets’ run in 3Q: “Games are full of runs. Both teams made runs throughout the game and we were making our run earlier in the first half…and we kept it going in the second quarter and they made a run in the third and we were able to slow it down and not let them get the lead back.”

(Lauren didn’t post the question to this, but I assume this is Trae speaking)
…I mean if guys are gonna draw that attention to me while I’m driving and helping on rollers, he’s open to knock down threes and he’s been doing a great job of it too. But everybody’s pulling for each other and we’re all wanting to see each other to succeed. So that’s gonna go a long way for us here in this next couple of weeks while we got guys out. …But they got, like, 50 points in the first quarter. So just learn from it. It’s NBA. Everybody’s playing. Everybody’s good. Everybody can can hoop and learn from it.”

Bogi on if he prefers starting or coming off the bench: “Everybody likes to start right here. But I like to finish the games more. Honestly.”

Bogi on if he feels 100%: “It’s like recovery days. In Orlando I think I again did a little bit too much. So I was a little bit, honestly, I wasn’t moving like tonight. So yesterday I was more focused on recovering and doing exercises for your knee. This is the new part for me.”

Bogi needs to continue to get the start. He’s the most experienced player out there for us now
