Nurse is just garbage at getting production out of his bench.

I always liked Yuta, but when he was here he couldn’t stay healthy (not his fault obviously) and could never sustain any level of consistency.
Happy for him that he has found a home and is doing well

Nurse does not maximize talent. Look at Yuta’s early season numbers. He was playing well. Then got hurt, then COVID, then Precious got hot, and Yuta could only “win” minutes during garbage times every once and awhile, trying to go out and shoot ice cold. Terrible player management

Don’t think he had too many haters. Think everyone is happy to see him do well in BK

I mean, look at what he said in the post game
He gets a lot of support and he’s told to just keep shooting.
Tight leash on bench players doesn’t help that

Good for him but what exactly was the evidence that he was any good when he was in Toronto.

It doesn’t make you a hater if you point out that yuta was not able to consistently knock down open catch and shoot 3s. His inability to stay healthy didn’t help him find a rhythm either. I really liked him in Toronto, and am happy that he is succeeding in Brooklyn, but the people who say he wasn’t shooting well or consistently last year are not wrong just because it is a negative opinion of a player we like. The numbers back it up, and now he has improved his percentages and consistency and is reaping the rewards of his good play of late.
Just because someone disagrees or has a negative opinion about a player you like doesn’t necessarily make them a hater. However labelling them as such may point more to your inability to have a civil conversation/debate without resorting to name calling.

Yeah, I don’t think he had any haters. He definitely couldn’t shoot when he was with the Raptors though. That jumper was flat af. It’s actually amazing how much he improved his shot after going to the Nets
