i'm from ny. i was and still am a Knicka. knick fans fear no one cause we went at it wit the greatest with an inferior line up. pat never had a pippen. we went at mike the hardest. pacers too but not as much as us. we were handling the pacers during that time.

The 80's and 90's were probably the best decades ever for NBA basketball. I sure hated Starks back then. But, I think he's a pretty decent guy. I sure miss those days though.
Man, I used to root for the Knicks so damn hard cuz I effing hated Jordan and his bandwagon fans. I miss him, as well as all the other stars that played in that era. And I miss the NBA on NBC theme.

I always respected John Starks even though I rooted against him. He's the type of player that would play well in the modern game. He would have been a monster 2 way player today.
HOW can ANYONE compare a SOFT player like LeBron who has to TEAM UP & stack his teams with SUPERSTARS to win championships to MJ who would buss your ass with whoever his GM puts on the court with him . There’s NO comparison. TALENT, HEART & most importantly SKILLS there’s NO COMPARISON.

Watched an old Jordan interview video the other day from era where he'd recently retired for the second time.
One thing that really struck me was MJ saying that players new to the NBA shouldn't get sponsorship deals or shoes named after them until they've proven themselves worthy. He said their salaries were already paying them too much for potential. They need to earn the rest. I absolutely agree with him.
