On NBA Today, Brian Windhorst says that Kawhi Leonard doesn’t look good when he’s on the floor since his return and questions what the Clippers will do to get him back 100 percent for later this season. Kendrick Perkins then joins the conversation to discuss how Los Angeles has managed the roster.

  1. Every time Brian Windhorst makes a statement it sounds like an epic and serious announcement. Like he’d be great at breaking news on nbc.

  2. NBA has gotten bad with sit outs. When I watch a game I expect at least 2-3 stars or starters from the teams to not be playing which usually makes for an unbalanced and uninteresting game so I usually just turn it off.

  3. The problem isn't the low management for me the issue is the regular season. The NBA needs to reform that

  4. It seems to me that Kawhi has not fully recovered, I am still lacking in the performance he is showing. I hope the old Kawhi, the Kawhi in the Spurs, is back.

  5. They doing all this load management to get eliminated in the 1st round. I agree with Perk just go out and hoop.

  6. that is why i think there will be lockout next season because of what perk just said.

  7. All these guys are just collecting a check. Holding up the line for the next hungry dog

  8. Idk what his eyes looking or y’all in the comments 😂😂 eye test show Kawhi is that dude offensively and defensively. He average 30+ 8 and 5 on 57% shooting last playoff run he was in and this season eye test show he still kawhi

  9. every 40-50 million dollar contract should come with a clause that the money is only available at full value if the player completes 65–70 games during each year of their deal. example: if the player has a 4 year valued at like 40 million a year, if in the first year he plays 65-70 he gets the full years worth, if year two he plays 55 he loses 15% of his contracts worth, and if he load maanges to only playing half the season he loses 30% of his deal for that year. availability is a lost art in todays game. the medicine, nutrition, technology has evolved at such a great rate but players do not want to take care of their bodies at the same rate and should be penalized for it. players in the 90's, early 2000's, late 2000's, 80's, 70's never complained about too long of a season and didnt break down like these younger guys are now so that can only point to them not taking care of their bodies as they should. stop with this "we want them to be at their best during the playoffs" well they should take care of their bodies at the highest level rather than have special day off rules made for them

  10. Reminds me of Brandon Roy a lil bit except Kawhi won rings and was a much better defender

  11. Load management is great but when you take it as far as Kawhi has it doesn’t just help nurse injuries but it takes momentum away from your team and could also takeaway from team chemistry. I guarantee you there’s someone on the team who’s pissed he has this much power.

  12. They’ve been load managing for 4 years and have nothing to show for it. They also have the highest payroll in the NBA. Such a waste of money, time, and talent. I think they need to start thinking about rebuilding because they will never win a championship with Kawhi and PG. Imagine being a season ticket holder for the clippers these past 4 years.

  13. What people don't know about the recovery from the ACL injuries it's that it isn't just about strength and conditioning work…The undamaged ACL has alot of senors(nerves) that the brain Uses to know how much the knee is bent during movement, and when the ACL is ruptured the brain no longer has access to that information….which means the brain has learn to use and move the repaired knee based on signales from the other knee to start off….which means the brain needs time to fully get used to this reconstructed body part….which is what Kawhi was referring to when said it takes 2 years to recover

  14. And then Kawhi drops 31 pts and 9 rebs on the Wizards. Windhorst should be the last person to comment on how an athlete “looks”.

  15. How much longer will people be talking about kawhi and pg when they're nothing the last 3 full years

  16. Lol he been like this for 3 4 years
Yet somehow y'all still think this team gonna do something 🤣🤣🤣

  17. Just came back after the Clippers vs Wizards where Kawhi got 31pts and took over in the 4th.

  18. This doesn't age well. He just had 31 points against the Wizards earlier and looked the old version of himself. Only proves these dudes don't know what they are saying. And he's gonna get even better as the season continues 🙂
