Grew up playing tennis in Florida around Frances and Reilly Opelka. Always been nice dudes and great to see how far they’ve come!
Tennis is not like being on an island. Your opponent can do things to make your life difficult in tennis. Golf is the only sport where you’re on an island because the only person who can make your life difficult is you. In golf, there’s nothing Phil Mickelson can do, to alter Tiger Wood’s shot. In tennis, you can change strategies, and hit it to your opponents weak spot (back hand) to make his life harder.
I really appreciate you also covering other sports (from time to time)! Basketball's obviously priority number 1 (and rightfully so), but I would really enjoy if you guys would do this a bit more often. Either way great interview! Big fan of Tiafoe!
Tennis is so underrated here in America. I'm an NBA junkie but tbh at it's peak I don't think there's a better sport than tennis.
