We have stopped Chaos Defense. Maybe that is from injuries but seams like energy issue and 8 of 10 losses looks like players don’t want to win or compete for playoffs.

We don’t have player leaders. I would not follow FVV to the bathroom. Our players even last year don’t have a season view IQ. Second 1/2 of Jan all on the road and out West. Now is the time to get wins. Last 5 all possible but NO. And we have been bad on road.

FVV played less, Flynn & Banton played more and got a chance to contribute. The comment section is surprisingly negative after getting what u been asking for. NN def has a share of the responsibility for this performance, but the players are making it impossible for him to do his job. If Nurse gets the boot it will be because his players aren’t responding to him.
This team can't shoot … and evidently now it can't play defense either. Hapless, stagnant, unwatchable.
Nick wants to defend as if every team shoots as poorly as we do.
I hope the front office has a plan for this underperforming Raptors because they will not win 47 or 50 games this season. If they are lucky maybe 41 or 42 games is the most they can win and that is a play-in team. I mean December, January and the rest of the season are very tough game schedules. Also, the possibility that the Raptors will go on a long losing streak. Well, the team lack 3-point shooting, mid-range, shot-creators, perimeter defence and rim protection. So many flaws and deficiencies that the Raptors will not win many games. The only option is a full rebuild unless the front office addresses all the issues. If they do nothing the season will end early meaning out of the playoff picture or standings. I remember Masia said a play-in is not an option. In that case, the only option is full rebuild or contending. The front office has to pick one. So far the Raptors are doing a good job of being bad. The truth is the roster is not good enough and will not go far. Even if they wait until the end of January it will not work out in their favour because most games are against teams with winning records, better than the Raptors and some are top teams. Even if they make playoffs they will not have playoff success or pass the first round. The Raptors cannot afford losses piling up because this could turn ugly in a hurry unless the plan is tanking this season or foreseeable future to collect picks and develop younger players. Also, they cannot hope for the team to get healthy because the Raptors have always been prone to injury and that will not get better year after year. A prone injury team is always a prone injury team. Time is moving and sooner the front office has to make a decision. Either way, this team is not ready to win now or soon. The team construction is flawed and has many issues to address including coaching. Imagine since the end of the 2019 season the front office has not made any improvement in this roster construction. It is been 3 years and the front office continues to ignore or not address those issues because hoping their players will make a jump or improve. The only way to improve the team is to add and subtract players year after year. Well, the front office has not done both very well in those 3 years except drafting Barnes and time will tell if he becomes the player they expect him to be or if he becomes a bust or just a role player. Good luck! By the way, why is NN playing VV and Siakam for 40+ minutes every game and every season? These players will have a short career or career-ending injury. What a mess! This team is dysfunctional!
I have been so disappointed that I did not watch today's game. Might as well, did not miss anything. At least I did not get frustrated watching it.
Raptors might be late for the playoff train but it's looks like Wemby train is right behind it
Also magic are on a 6 game win streak, if they somehow get a better record then the raps in the next 10 games here we really do need to consider a move
You make a great point, Ben. NN defense schemes were excellent because we had the experienced starters to pull them off in 2018 – 2020. Not only that, we had hungry and talented young players off the bench.
Now, however, we simply don't have enough capable personnel to pull this off. This is a roster construction issue and the front office needs to be held responsible for this. NN simply doesn't have enough quality pieces to replicate that elite levels of defense we've seen before.

just "Hope" players bounce back, is not the answer for winning. Time to accept the reality we need to rebuild.. we aren't going anywhere with this core… our "BEST" players fvv who is so SLOW… and siakam not even play defense.. sigh

this roster needs way more than just retooling to close the huge gaps with current elite teams. We need to stop this false narrative vv siakam og siakam are legit stars, they are not. We won the championship having them as role players or coming off the bench and thats clearly their max potential, which explains why once after kawai left we get no further than a first round exit. We need either trade or get lucky in draft to bring back a true star and relegate anyone we retain back to where they belong, a role player or a bench player
FVV is the biggest liability. Small unathletic guard who can't create. Also horrible on defense and gets blown by. Then we have Nurse. His defensive schemes are horrible…
They can’t shoot
Pascal, og, Chris Boucher, and Barnes are the only people safe right now.. there offense is garbage and ther defense is terrible and I like vanvleet I’m just disappointed in him
