Yes he deserves more minutes. Will Kerr give him more? No. He’s 20. Kerr likes players who are at least 23.

Of course he deserves more minutes. Will he get them?

He is looking pretty good. Just buried in the depth chart when the team is healthy. So he will probably get some time now with Steph and Wiggins out. Incremental increases.

Nice defence.

Tonight was pretty reasonable. Moody got 11 min, same as Kuminga + Wiseman + Baldwin + Rollins. He has done reasonably well when he’s been in games, but he hasn’t been so great that he has “earned” more IMO.
I know, I know, he needs the minutes to develop. In his case, and Kuminga’s, I think they should get some rotational time in the G League along with the rest of the youngsters. It helped Poole a couple of years ago (i.e., when he was 21), and it seems to be helping Wiseman.
If I was Kerr, I’d have maybe 2 of the 21-and-under players with the NBA squad at any given time, and I’d make it a priority to get them some reasonable minutes. Then swap those 2 down to the G League and bring up 2 more, and so on. If someone really starts to stand out, then they’ve earned a permanent space on the active roster. Otherwise, rotational time in the G League to maximize reps.

Moved his feet. Used his length to cut off the drive. Didn’t reach. Then recovered when bumped into. That was beautiful defense and effort.

Becareful if Kerr said he likes what Moody is doing out there. That means next game, Moody would get less than 5 minutes.
