I’m sure we are going to take this as an opportunity to reflect on ourselves and our cohabitants in this state instead of just knee-jerk react to DM, right everybody?

I wondered how much that boneheaded comment Stuart made played into Don emotionally checking out. It makes me sad that Don felt this way in the end. Especially growing up in NYC and being used to huge diversity, SLC must have felt really strange at times. I’m glad he’s landed in a place he feels happier.

I hate that this is 100% true and I can’t even fault him for feeling that way.

Oof this stings and it’s completely true. Ugh.

  5. I am an immigrant from a third world country. I rarely see Asians from my country here in Utah and I don’t care. I love it here. I have friends here that have welcomed me with open arms.

I don’t think this should come as a surprise to Jazz fans. We all saw it play out. Don was a huge part of the Utah community at first. Very involved and active and seemed to enjoy being here.

That starting to change a little with each racist incident here and with every wave of pushback he got for championing racial equality until it was plainly obvious he wanted nothing to do with Utah.
