It must have been a miscommunication. Between rushing it so OKC doesn’t challenge the charge and Ant not knowing if Dame was gonna run out, I can see why it happened. Sucks still.

One of the hardest things to watch as a Portland fan in a while. Absolutely embarrassing

We had 2 timeouts. We could have advanced the ball.

Another learning moment for the young fella.
This one is a tough one to swallow, hopefully we’re gonna see a couple of amazing Ant games to make up..

Wild to see professional basketball players make that mistake.

Not sure what happened there but usually teams have plays drawn up to inbound the ball in these situations. It’s really weird to me that they would have two people cutting into the same area by design, so I’m thinking that either Dame or Ant weren’t supposed to be where they ended up in the court. Leading to Ant not knowing that dame was behind him for some reason.
That’s just my speculation though.

I’m not pinning this on one person, I just couldn’t believe that happened

Not ants fault, more on grant.

Ugh I need this off the top of the thread. It’s triggering.

I would put it up there as one of the dumbest plays period, not just inbounds. What a disaster on Dame’s big night 💔

I feel like Im going crazy reading the comments on this. Sure it sucks it happened and we should have maybe ran a more structured in bounds play but both Ant and Dame shook their defender and were open. Ant didnt know Dame was behind him. If Grant doesnt pass right away he probably thinks the defense can recover. It was just miscommunication and an unfortunate situation. I dont feel like calling every player involved dumb because these things happen so often throughout games.
