[Charania] Multiple league sources and sources close to the organization say LaVine and the Bulls are not seeing eye-to-eye. Over the past few weeks, there’s been a palpable feeling across various parts of the franchise of a disconnect over LaVine’s situation in Chicago.

> The Bulls have held multiple team meetings to try to work out their issues, and that has included one-on-one, face-to-face sitdowns between DeRozan and LaVine, multiple sources with direct knowledge who were granted anonymity because they are unauthorized to speak publicly on the matter have told The Athletic.

sign the big contract, immediately become discontent, many such cases

  2. clarkthagod

LaVine is being held accountable for playing like shit and he doesn’t like it

Me the first half of last season: 😃

Me the first half of this season: 😃🔫

God I wish he had a healthier body and was about four years younger. I think he’d be a perfect next to Shai and Chet if he was. But alas I don’t think he’s worth going in for right now. Too injury prone and doesn’t really fit our timeline in regards to money equal to his age.

This is so fucking stupid. How can you not see eye to eye with a franchise that just built a team around you and gave you the bag with no questions asked.

I feel bad for derozan mostly tbh

  6. confuddly

The Mavs might be able to save their season after all

Lol I knew this name was going to age bad but I didn’t really care.

    Blow it up

Step 1: Midlevel star signs giant guaranteed contract with team that hasn’t been a true contender in over a decade, knowing there’s very little that can be done with the roster in its current form.

Step 2: Pretend like you’re excited to “take the team to the next level”

Step 3: Leak rumors that you aren’t happy with the direction of the team <— We are here

Step 4: Demand trade with your giant guaranteed contract and get the best of both worlds

    Classic move

Holy fuck his stats are shit lol

Imagine paying this may 40 million a year

Maybe he should play some fucking defense and learn what good shot selection is. Sick of watching his sloppy turnovers and terrible decision making every game.

I’ll agree that Billy could be using him better but he’s also in his own way constantly.

    But why?

They paid him big money and he has been the center piece for some time now… am I missing something?

How much would it cost to trade for DeMar?

  15. lazzysmalls

He has regressed hard. He was in the conversation with Booker and Mitchell as far as top SGs just a season, season and a half ago (and can probably say the same about Beal). I can’t really blame him, or the organization. He hasn’t been healthy and don’t think you can have title aspirations with he or DeMar as your best players.

  16. thy_armageddon

He’s really about to put the LA into LaVine.

Edit: Honorable mention – More like Zach Leaving.

    Both not great.

  17. sweatysteamer69

Yeah and can’t trade him with that horrible contract. Sorry Chi fans, doubt this ends well

Lakers closing in with Russ and the good ol’ reliable first rounders

  19. KyrieWetUpCurry_

Boo hoo, you signed for $200 million plus, suck it up.

  20. chugalaefoo

Was Lonzo really the secret and key chemistry ingredient? 🤔

  21. SonicdaSloth

Grab Westbrook and the Lakers picks in 27 and 29 for Levine and Caruso

    Find a home for Derozen

Restart the process, tank for a top 4 pick

  22. LathargicLemur

Too bad KAT can’t be traded this year. I’d bring Lavine back to Minnesota!

  23. JustSeriousEnough

Lose to the Wolves causing team meetings. Last year vibes are back!

  24. Lavine looks cooked in every Bulls games I’ve seen this yr

  25. ItsLittyLitLit

Take the money & worry about rest later. A tale as old as time.

  26. onepokemanz

lavines contract is way to overbloated, hes injury prone and a fringe all star in my eyes.

i doubt he gets more then 2 picks, maybe miami takes em ?

  27. JB_JB_JB63

Built the team around him when he hadn’t earned it. Now he’s playing like shit and refuses to be held accountable.

  28. AlmightyRanger

He’d make a great sixth man off the bench.

  29. myteriality
