  1. Their front office is terrible. It’s unfortunate but they’re gonna end up losing Ball – which would be sad. Small market teams should be able to have a chance but idk

  2. Need that bridges come back immediately! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  3. Missed out on Giannis and Kawahi Leonard as well to name some studs.

  4. Lamelo is a special talent. Best 21 and under besides Victor. Lamelo needs help. Trade Rozier, Oubre and others for MPJ or tank for Wembanyama or the Thompson twins to pair with Lamelo

  5. This kinda good for them to be bad because then they could be top 5 in the draft lottery to get another star to be by Lamelo or I don’t know if they don’t have their pick

  6. All those dudes are better than most of the mavericks! Sounds like they can send a bunch of seconds and pickup quality players

  7. Why sell though, they are already the worst team in the league? Just keep losing and retain some talent and hopefully you'll get the top pick and have something to work with moving forward.

  8. Hornets fan from Charlotte here. Couldn’t agree more with your take. Win less for Wembanyama!

  9. As a hornet fan I completely agree , at this point we should try to get as many picks as possible

  10. Bobby you are a flip flopped. You had positive things to say about the team last year and positive things to say about Bouk when he was drafted. To make it appear that you were always weary of the team and their draft is inaccurate.

  11. Mj dont care about nothing but his self what makes u think that charlotte going to be good make it make sense he not given back to them guys like he should he dont spend time around them like that givn them pointers inspirational conversations or nothing he just bought a team and watched…

  12. Agreed I thought they should have been sellers at the beginning of the season. If they can draft Scoot that would be a good start and that backcourt would be a problem

  13. They haven't had their best player most of the season give it a chance to see how they look with Lamelo on the court. To many teams give up on young players way to early!

  14. Because their team is terrible and they need to cut their entire front office and get new people in there that have a real plan to rebuild a team, which isn't how the Hornets have been doing it for decades

  15. The league does not want MJ to an all world player. Look at the last few drafts. They can have the worst record and still pick between 8-12. 🤷🏾‍♂️

  16. I do think Charlotte should bottom out and accept that if they want to be relevant for a decade or more, they might need to be EXTREMELY bad for 4 or 5 seasons like OKC and Houston are doing. Unfortunately for Charlotte, they do not have anywhere near the quality of tradable assets that those franchises had (Westbrook, George, and CP3 for OKC & Harden for Houston). Because they don't really have any trade options that can net them a large amount of picks all at once, they would probably need to do it piecemeal and that probably means trading for a bunch of expiring contracts with picks attached &/or trading for younger assets stuck on teams currently trying to compete for a championship/playoffs.

Possible Trade Targets for the 1st Option: Patrick Beverly, Terrence Ross, Jaxson Hayes, Kendrick Nunn, Will Barton, Rui Hachimura
These are players you might be able to trade for where you could potentially get back a pick or 2 in exchange.

Possible Trade Targets for the 2nd Option: Cam Thomas, Cam Reddish, David Roddy, Ziaire Williams, Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga
These are young players you might be able to develop who could turn out to be solid contributors if given time.

From there, they need to hope they get a Top 2 pick in the upcoming draft to pair with Lamelo. If they get one of the Top 2, more of their younger players could become expendable depending on who they end up with (Mark Williams and Nick Richards if Wemby & Dennis Smith Jr if Scoot).

Ideally for them in the next couple of years they could end up with a starting 5 of say, Lamelo, Wemby, (a young forward like Kuminga acquired in a trade), Bouknight, and perhaps a guy like DJ Wagner or Justin Edwards from the 2024 Draft.
